Solid choice for mounting a GoPro camera
This is a solid clamp for mounting a GoPro camera onto a round rod or railing. I used it extensively for capturing time lapse videos from a river boat. When I got it, I was worried that I would lose the hinge pivot rod or the acorn nut from the end of the clamping bolt. I used super glue on both ends of the pivot rod and on the nut. This slightly limited how far I could open the jaws, but it ensured I didn't lose any pieces. The main pieces are made out of very strong plastic. The adapters are of okay quality, but a GoPro is not heavy, so this shouldn't be an issue. The rubber grip could be a little softer/stickier, but it was adequate to keep the clamp from slipping in my low-vibration application. It might slip a bit if used on mountain bike handlebars.Pros: Solid construction, unbelievable valueCons: Two parts should be glued to prevent loss (easy fix), rubber could be a bit more sticky to prevent slipping

Great for a crossbow scope
Fits very well for my scope. Locks in place nicely. I’m happy with it.

Excellent economic mounting solution...
I purchased this to help mount my DJI Osmo to a 26ft tripod for sports filming. This works great! He claw is firm and the mounting screw fits nicely into my set up and works perfectly. My only complaint (well 2 really) is that it is all plastic, so there is an element of natural 'play' in some of the joints, and the fact the fastening mechanism can be challenging (partly because of the previous reason) in order to get it tight enough you really have to snap the clasp shut, but this makes getting it off rather tough! I guess the saving grace is that its secure! I have no qualms about having $1000 worth of filming and sound recording equipment help on by this 26ft in the air!

The quarter inch mount can not be rotated to tilt on different axis.
It appears that this clamp's 1/4 mount part attached to the clamp part could be rotated around so that the tilt axis for instance could be made to travel forward and behind the post to which it is clamped. But no! It's glued in place. Worse, if you look at the picture, it clearly appears that the tilt of the mount piece tilts toward and away from the post to which it is clamped. That's why I bought it! However, the one I got is fixed to travel up and down about 90 degrees forward and 90 degrees back from the post. I wanted to attach it to a vertical post and then have it so the monitor I was mounting on it would tilt up or down toward me. If it came like in the picture, then I could have done that. I suppose most people buy them for bikes, and you would want it to be like the one I got so you could aim your Go/Pro up and down. It is otherwise a sturdy piece.

Good clamp with a couple of warnings.
First thing... put some thread locker on the little cap nut or it won't be there for very long. I got this to hold a secondary mic on a tripod and for that I think it will work very well. The clamp holds really well and the lock down seems secure. BUT - the two halves of the clamp have different curvatures and they will push whatever you're clamping onto in two different directions (you can kind of see this in the listing pictures) so make sure you get whichever side fits best to seat well and away from the screw. The listing indicates that the jaws will handle 1.5". Yeah. maybe, but you'll have to be very careful. All-in-all I think it'll work well for what I need.

It might work... Just
I was hoping I found an amazing deal. And this could've been with just a little more effort. But it's not. It doesnt really have 360 degree adjustment. Not if you want to keep your camera. Despite an embarassingly long time fiddling with it, I could only get the screw mounting for the camera to tighten in one position - a few degrees off 90 degrees perpendicular to whatever you would clamp it to. I think if the camera mounting screw itself did not spin, you could screw your camera mount on to the clamp and tighten the adjustment nut against it and lock it into whatever angle you want. Maybe. But the screw just keeps spinning until its all the way into the mount, no matter where the adjustment nut is. I can probably still find a use for it, but not the one I intended.

Great little clamp
This is one well made little clamp. It is all metal, with a little rubber to give it some grip. Very high quality at a very good price. I use it to hold small video lights and even one larger one. It does not slip, it has held tight for over a month and the light it is holding straight out, it weighs in at about a pound. I have bought several of these and now keep a few extra around because they are so inexpensive.

Slow shipping.
The product is as described, the reason I gave it a 3 star was shipping. It was ordered as prime, 2 to 3 day shipping, I received it 6 days after ordering.
