Outstanding coffee machine. I really can't see what the more expensive models bring
1 Year Update: This machine is still churning out 2-4 coffee's every day without fault and has been an outstanding purchase. I stand by my original review and rating.Original Review: I spent ages looking at various manufacturers coffee machines. I wanted an automatic bean to cup machine, which also steamed the milk. I'd had a manual Delonghi previously and it had lasted years of daily use. This machine is everything I wanted.I've used this machine every for 3 months now, sometime twice a day. The coffee just seems to get better and it definitely takes a week to bed in and get the settings how you want them such as the grind setting. More expensive models don't seem to offer much more for the money and despite the information on Deloghi's website, this machine does produce just as many coffee options. The only exception being a flat white, but you could do this manually if you wanted.Pros- Looks great- Easy to set-up- Quick to start-up- Easy to use - most drinks are one-touch, 2 drinks are easy to make, mymenu allows your personal favourite to be one touch away.- Quick to produce the drink of your choice- Easy access to the water tank and bean hopper- Produces excellent espresso- The milk frother is easy to use/clean and produces rich dense foam at its max setting- Drinks are perfectly hot on the default setting, but if you want hotter then there is a temp. control setting to increase this- Reliable operation (I've yet to have a problem after 300+ lattes)- Programming is easy to set the quantity of each ingredient- Easy to maintain (everything is automated, including the warnings for a full drip tray etc.)- Makes just as many drink options as the higher-end models, despite not being advertised- Comes with a water filter and decalk bottle, which will get you started for the first few monthsCons- Sometimes says the grounds hopper needs emptying when it's only half full. Doesn't happen often and it's easy to empty- Quite a long machine, not really an issue, but might be for a short kitchen surface and anything above it may restrict access to the bean hopper- The water tank could be a little bigger, it will produce 4-6 drinks between refills. Not a massive issue and it's easy to fill. Besides a larger tank would mean a larger machine.

Nice coffee but stopped working after two months.
It was making a very good coffee while it was working. It broke down after about two months of use. It has been for repair for about a month and a half now and I am still waiting. In the beginning I thought that my machine was faulty until I called to find out what is going on with it, the reply I received was they are late because they are missing the part needed to repair it. When I mentioned it has been more than a month they told me they received a load of that part but they had to repair other machines first that have been waiting there longer than mine. Honestly I wouldn’t buy it again. I received a new one after a couple of months.

Life Changing - Literally
I bought this after I got sick of another brand extracting from my wallet for special coffee to go in it, that, let's be honest was never as good as starbucks. It was a bit of a debate as to spend the best part of £700 on a coffee machine, but I drink a lot of coffee and the family I married into are Italian so let's face it, it's gonna get used!Looking at it I was half expecting a drink to pop out that was something like you get from a vending machine. I could not have been further from the truth. We use starbucks blonde in ours and it makes an awesome cup of coffee. I also like the fact you can adjust the amount of milk foam. It's easy to clean all the drinks are top notch, from Espresso to Flat White, this thing has it all.One note of caution I have not found a way to adjust the cup size, so a flat white will not fit in a normal cup. I just bought some larger cups for mine, but might be something you need to consider.I like the fact that the machine tells you when it needs descaler to be run through and when to change the filters etc.

Makes coffee, great, but there are issues
This is the second machine of this ilk that I've had over the last 12 years. This one appears to have a similar issue as the first in so far as it starts to leak water, it's not a lot of water, but it's not nothing either. And for this cost, you'd expect them to be able to do this without having water leak. When I opened up the previous one there appeared to be a design issue, where steam is allowed to "vent" internally, and is meant to drip down into the tray, however over time, the path becomes built up with bits of coffee, and as opposed to the water dripping down internally it pools, and is able to escape the non-sealed channel that it's meant to drip through. In addition to this, the most recent one (this one I'm reviewing), after just over 2 years, the coffee machine is causing our RCD to trip when it goes through the clean cycle.Again, for this much money, I don't expect some thing to fail so quickly.

Fantastic!
I love this machine. I'm glad the cheaper version was out of stock as this version does that little bit more and really makes a difference. Once you've worked out the controls it's super easy to make your desired coffee. You can tailor the coffee whichever way you like it. I'm a TA in a school and had to work loads extra during the lockdowns and decided to use the extra money to buy this, and I haven't regretted it. Nom nom nom

Great coffee and easy to use
Love how easy this is to use and to make great coffee. Easy to clean. The option to have your own coffee quantity and strength remembered is fab, so you get the right coffee for your favourite mug every time.

Somewhat Difficult to Use
While it uses beans and makes a reasonable brew, the rinsing mechanism uses quite a lot of water and thus frequent refill. I was not able to find the final coffee produced any tastier or better than a pod type coffee. Machine is quite expensive, heavy, and takes up a lot of room on the kitchen counter. Coffee ground disposal can be messy. Loses water into tray. Must keep a cup under the delivery spouts as machine turns itself of and rinses. Beans may lose freshness sitting in the machine - they sit loose. I am not sold on the merits of this coffee maker.
