Nice.
They go down and spread just like you'd expect. Activation is consistent between colors. I think it's great, especially at the price. A talented person could make something beautiful with these. (Me? No. Ill just try again.) The surprise here was the color selection. You could work from a split primary, but there's plenty of varied earth tones and skin shades too. I'm not a pastel artist, but without water blending these convenience greens seem important. I would trade a beige for a truer yellow ochre and a purple for a warmer blue. There's like five blues and they're all nice, but I want my basic bitc ultramarine sometimes, but that might be a watercolor habit that doesn't matter to you if you want to use and blend dry.

Makes art easy
I already love oil pastels and paint, and these water soluble oil pastels give the best of both. I used them on watercolor paper- they blended nicely. You can overlay colors to get nice blends, and you can stretch the color as far as you want for watercolor effect, or use thickly for solid coverage. The black becomes beautifully inky. I have not seen one of these pastels granulate like some watercolors do. I really just love these!

Packaging and high quality make all the difference. Great product they get 5 stars from me !
Took a little while to get here but well worth the wait. I was hesitant to buy them on line and have them shipped because every other company and review I watched by the time they arrived , they were destroyed. These came individually wrapped and packed beautifully not one was broken !!! Or muddled with different colors.

Amazing
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!!! Omg the colors are beautiful and it’s so easy to blend! I will say work on thinner paper and not the thick kind because you’ll use up a lot of your pastels! These are Perfect for beginners. Highly recommend these

Not a pro just wanted to try something new
I started art journaling and getting curious about other supplies than my colored pencils. These are great. I’m still learning all the ways to apply, but the colors are vibrant and the package is beautiful, I even attempted to copy the imagery. Anyway. Good stuff

My favorite oil pastels!
So, I have a big set of the “best” (i.e., most expensive) oil pastels, Sennelier, but I honestly prefer these Mungyo pastels! I don’t know why they’re in this Hashi box, but when you look at the oil pastels themselves, they have the Mungyo label on them and they perform the same. These pastels are in the sweet spot between hard and smooth, giving you more control. You can smooth them with your finger, but depending on the surface, I find it hurts my finger after a short while, so, I like using Q-tips. You also get a lot more than some brands for your money. I’ve tried several different brands of oil pastels by now (cheap and expensive), but this particular Mungyo set keeps being the most enjoyable and easiest to use.
