Good descriptions of minerals. Lots of good pictures.

I'm a novice, trying to sell jewelry. This Book helped me put stones and their value in better perspective. Kind of techical but still very helpful.

i liked the color of gemstones and some information. they could of given all the color variations would have been better. but for the $$$ its good.

This is an excellent reference book. We have a few of these books and the details you might need for a school project/assignment or just general knowledge is easily understandable. Would definitely buy more books in the series for this reasonable price.

This book came with previous book that I reviewed . So this review is the same as the previous one.

Got this as I like these mini encyclopedias as they are informative and nicely illustrated. With this title I particularly like the fact that you get the chemical formula of the mineral/ gemstone illustrated - some are quite long!!
