AnCOOL what a nice 3rd party Fenix 5 band
Pleasantly surprised with this Ancool Fenix 5 band. I got this band for a run event coming up and I wanted to rep my team colors. It is very close to the original Garmin Quickfit band at a fraction of the price ($15.99). It has similar markings and mold as original, even the black clasp looks similar. I was tempted to purchase this item on a popular auction site but after reading the negative reviews of the sellers and extremely long ship times, I decided to order here. I ordered this on a Saturday and received it on a Monday! Worth the extra I paid.Material has a soft velvety feel to it BUT the flexibility is the same as the original. It snaps on securely and doesn't feel it will come off or come loose.Upon close inspection here are some differences to note:The two loop fasteners aren't beveled like original but rounded but it does include that nub on the outer one.The clasp on original has a torx screw while the Ancool does not, its smooth no screwsThe screws on the Quickfit system on original look to be torx and the Ancool version is philipsThe textured surface on the Ancool feels more pronounced but looks-wise they're near the sameI recommend this item if you're looking for something pretty darn close to the original. I plan on buying a few more colors. Only time will tell how it holds up. I'll update review accordingly.

Quick release breaks and you will loose your watch
Yo get what you pay, looks ok but with the time metal pieces begin to build some rust.Quick release plastic are poor quality and evenutually breaks and you will loose you $500 watch.I lost it in the ocean while swimming and was not able to find the watch.

Broke in a week
One of the 2 rings that hold the excess band down tore in half within the first week. The company refused to respond so they clearly don't care or stand behind their crap.

You get what you pay for
It's a band. It's cheap. Mine broke literary two days after I got it, while I was packing my backpack. Luckily, I noticed in time that my watch is loose, so it didn't fall or anything. But it was all over the place - the little spring bar I found soon under the couch, the pin was still on the band, and the metal clasp I found an hour later in my pocket (see the picture). Ok, so I am pretty tough on watch (that's why I got sapphire version), but I've been wearing watches for most of my life and I don't recall the last time I saw something like this. This was an excellent lesson in the fact that you get what you pay for, thank you very much ANCOOL. I guess there is a reason why the original uses torx screws instead of spring bar. I put mine back together and will wear it around the house. I would not ever trust this enough to use it outdoors - I don't want to be searching for my $700 watch in the fields of green next time this thing does the falling apart trick. I also have no intention of ever buying this again - I will swallow my pride and buy the overpriced original next time.

This is just a 22mm silicone watch strap, ignore the smartwatch stuff if you're using a real watch.
Recently Amazon had a sale on a watch I like, a Seiko Solar 42mm faced 22mm lug analog watch. A real watch, that tells time, day, date and that's all, what we in the watch enthusiast world like to call a "tool watch". Because it's a tool for telling time. Period. I"m a semi-retired IT engineer and have more than enough screens in my life, I don't need nor want one in place of a real watch too. This watch runs for 10 months on a full charge from a light source and never needs a battery replacement, eat your heart out 3 day smartwatches.I decided being as the watch is black with a sort of stencil font on the face indices that I'd take a chance on this band and accessorize it with a military-looking Army Green silicone band -- Because I do not wear permeable (leather, nylon, canvas, cloth, etc.) watch straps I decided an Army Green silicone band was the way to go with the new watch and put the canvas band that came on it in a drawer. I don't wear NATO straps either, first because they're permeable nylon (permeable is a no-no for me) and secondly because to me they look like someone tried to tie their watch on their wrist with a chunk of old seat belt. This band fits on a 22mm lug's spring-bar perfectly. It's very easy and fast to remove or replace too. I've tried to get it to let go of the spring-bar "by accident" and it's on there very solidly, at least as solid as any other system. I have a rather large 8" wrist and there's room to spare on the band. It's also very quick and easy to remove or replace, I wish more bands would use this kind of system. I wish more bands came in this length too, it's hard fro me to find one that fits without strangling my hand. The "keepers", the little loops that hold the tongue of the strap in place where it emerges from the buckle, have lugs on them that fit in the sizing slots on the band. That's a GREAT extra feature because those keepers tend to wander up and down the watchband without those lugs to hold them in place. This can cause either the tongue of the band or the keeper to snag on something which can break the band or the keeper loop. No problem with this band, the lugs on the keepers stabilize them exactly where you put them. This is something that is not shown nor addressed in the product description and very much should be. It's a deciding factor for me and I might have returned the watchstrap if it didn't have those lugs on the keepers. The band is about the thickness you'd expect and has no discernible taper from lug to buckle. Being silicone it weighs very little and does not appreciably add to the weight of the watch and strap combo. It's just a good, plain, non-reactive, non-absorbent, military looking watchstrap. That will fit on any watch, smart or otherwise, with a 22mm lug. I don't know if I'd use this strap on an Omega or a Rolex, mostly because those are much heavier watches than the one I use the strap on. It's a little plain for a multi-thousand dollar plus watch too, I think there are better choices. But for a watch I got at less than half price and intend to wear every day to save my nicer watches the wear, tear and scratches that come with that kind of use ... This band works perfectly. The only complaint I have with it is that I could do without the little "smart watch" triangles, of which there are three. One on the buckle and one near each lug attachment. But that's a very, very minor issue and not worth taking a star off my review over. I knew they were there when I ordered it and this is a style thing not a failure in design and materials thing. This particular watch that I'm using this band on has a very similar little triangle on the bezel above the 12 o'clock indices so it looks like the strap was made for the watch ... sort of. Actually now that I look at it some more, it looks quite natural. We'll see how long it lasts, I just got it. If it has an unreasonably short service life I'll come back here and add an edit to this review. If you don't see that addition, what I say here stands current.

So highly recommend this, as opposed to the $49 Garmin strap
Being so new I bought with no amazon reviews. For anyone else looking, this was almost indistinguishable from the Garmin black and neon green that came with the watch. I would not notice if someone swapped it out with the original Garmin ones. So highly recommend this, as opposed to the $49 Garmin strap, they are pretty much exactly the same! I hope someone makes some nice leather and metal ones for a lower price then Garmin in the near future.

Slightly more green than the OEM strap.
I have several Ancool straps for my Fenix 5 and love them. They do feel a little softer than the OEM straps. I was hoping the OEM amp strap would have a little more green in it, but it is definitely more yellow compared to this strap having a little more lime in it. Here's a comparison of the two - Ancool on the left and OEM on the right. And as an aside, the Amazon picture makes the strap look like it's textured with an inverted pattery to the regular OEM strap (which is partially why I bought it - I thought it would have a different look) but it's exactly the same pattern.

Waste of money
1st impressions of this strap was very good looks and feels just like a genuine overpriced Garmin strap.Be careful putting a £10 strap on a £500 Fenix just noticed mine hanging of my wrist as the strap has lost it’s buckle.Waste of £10

Does what it’s suppose to.
It has the same quality like Garmins similar strap in regards of durability. I use it everday, Garmins strap breaks after approx. 1 year for me.

Lasted over a year of heavy use
Quite pleased with this as it lasted over a year before the silicone split by the buckle tooth.

Broke after a week of use
Clasp came away from band after less than a week of use. Disappointed.
