Really good for the price, easy to clean, but you can't change the thickness of blades.
Clean cuts, for slicing, Julien., Perfect string french fries and hash browns.

Doesn't slice all things well
Took a chance that this may save my fingers and time. It doesn't work well on some food stuff. Slices sometimes are way too thin. Didn't find it any faster than using a knife or another chopper/grinder method.

Craptastic
I got this hoping to use it to slice onions and potatoes. Too bad it didn't do either of those thing. The blades on the inserts are not very sharp at all. I peeled a yellow onion and tried to slide it over the blade and I had to try THREE times before it would even kinda slice it. Only a bodybuilder would have been able to get the potato to slice. I will say the little peeler that came with the set is very nice and sharp.. I have the bandaid on my finger to prove it.

Mandolin blades are easy to install!
I love this slicer! It was inly 10 bucks in sale and works great! Lots of people said blades are difficult, but mine aren't!To install: Place lid face UP with handle towards you. Put the two large tabs in the hole closest to the handle. Now press on the two top corners. To remove: Turn lid over with handle closest to you. Press on the two corners furthest away from you (tiny tabs). Blade should pop right out!

Makes quick work of slicing things
The plain blade slices things much thinner than I’d like. Great for home made potato chips but too thin for much else. The ruffled blade works for that but then ruffles. Blades are hard to snap out but cleans easily after

3.5 stars: Nice features but performance on them could be better
I've been on the hunt for a mandoline slicer replacement since the old Kyocera I had for nearly two decades broke at the corner of its frame & not even Gorilla Glue could keep it back in place (thank you for your service, Kyo). Anyhow, I saw Uamector online and was very interested in what it had to offer. For its price point it seemed like the most affordable slicer I could find & decided to purchase this one. What arrived was pretty straightforward. You get a simple brown cardboard box labeled Uamector wrapped around the box and inside you'll find a folded sheet of assembly instructions, the cleaning brush & peeler bonus pieces wrapped in a plastic sleeve, and the whole vegetable slicer unit shrink wrapped in plastic. Blades and hand guard were tucked inside of the slicer unit. The start of assembly was easy, but it just about stops there. It's difficult to remove the blade attachments. It's a bit of a bummer because the demo video for this product makes the mounting and removal look so quick, seamless and easy; plus the concept of the lid being your storage space saver helps with organizing. Trying to remove the blades is the most frustrating part about this product. Think twice if you want to get this for your grandma because it's especially not for her. Additionally I had hoped to use the colander basket insert separately from the slicer & basket while doing food prep. My thought was I could multi-task with using the insert separately to wash and let my veggies drain while I slice using the other parts together. But they don't hold together without sliding and shifting as you try to slice, which is ineffective. I may try to rubber band the two pieces together on the handle and try slicing that way if I want to use the colander separately but simultaneously. In short -Pros:-Simple, clean design.-The handle helps with ergonomics.-The bottom basket is also nice to catch all your slices, unlike your traditional mandoline slicer, which is just a one piece slicer with a handle.-The cleaning brush is a nice bonus.-The plastic lid and container is thick and sturdy.Cons:-It is made of plastic.-Blade removal from the lid is VERY difficult. It's almost as if you are just limited to one blade because of this difficulty.-The lid doesn't fit into the bottom basket without the colander in between.-There isn't much of a way to safely clean the spikes underneath the hand guard. The spikes run deep. Great if you have a faucet hose with high water pressure.Other thoughts:It would be nice to see this product in other colors. I haven't tried out the peeler (looks good, though) and slicing with the other 3 blades (fine grain, coarse grain, pattern blade) but was successful in slicing a sweet onion with the flat blade. So I am happy with that. Due to the frustrating difficulty of switching out the blades and storing them under the lid, I'm discouraged from using the other blades and will most likely stick with the one flat blade. I'm not getting the best value because of this.Overall it's not a bad purchase - it's affordable, but you may not get the best value. I'd recommend giving this product a try (great if you can get it on sale), but also keep an open eye out for other products as you may want to consider investing in superior quality design and material.

Such a handful tool in the kitchen
First of all it looks much better in real life comparing to the picture. It is firm and sharp in cutting. Not slippery at all. This could be one of the best purchase this year for me. It cut so well. It could save half an hour preparing the food. And the food taste better using it because the food becomes much thinner and slimer.Fast and better. You deserve to have one in the kitchen
