The Moonlit Pond: Korean Classical Poems in Chinese Paperback – 1 July 1997

The translator has won awards for his work, and they are richly deserved. It is rare to see poems originally written in Chinese transposed into English so well-tuned to the subtleties and poetics of the newer language while expressing the sense and sensibility of the original. An important collection of Korean classical poems, the anthology is truly a pleasure to read. I hope there will one day be a bilingual edition, with Chinese and English for each poem.
