Really IS Perfection.
The name says it all. This thing really is perfection. Handles lots of sizes of materials, works reliably on High Sierra, and software adapts itself to user's level of sophistication.

good scanner, easy to operate even the software that comes with
The only thing missing in this scanner is to support network connection. The scanner needs to be dedicated to a computer which makes a little inconvenient. Even if it was shareable over the network, I don't know if the software would work on that.I tried to look for information about the lifetime of the lamp of the scanner but I didn't find anything about it.The scanner is pretty good, if you put more than one picture (so far I saw it works with picture on the same orientation and one below another) it will recognize and will make separated scanner files under the software that it comes with. But due to the limitation of the scanner not work on the network ( shared), I'm giving 4.

Don't buy this
Spent over an hour setting it up. No clear directions and/or manual. Once set up I could not get it to perform as advertised. Not sure how compatible it is with Windows 10. The name of this product should be Epson IM-perfection scanner.

The V600 scanner is a decent piece of hardware. However, the software is marginal or worse. It is poorly designed and embodies very old Microsoft look-and-feel. It also has LOTS of intermittent bugs and errors, particularly related to USB communications. The "Push Button to Scan and Email" does NOT work. Epson Tech Support is located in the Philippines (apparently), and they have very heavy accents. This, along with a very noisy environment for tech support, makes it almost impossible to understand them. They are very skilled at saying, "I apologize, sir." --- over and over until you feel like screaming. They are INCOMPETENT at giving any help for any but the most simple problems. I also had software problems on a previous Epson scanner, and I should have learned from that experience. I would send the scanner back for a refund, but the freight costs are substantial. So, I'm making due...but will NEVER again buy Epson. They are real non-caring idiots!

Must have if you have archives of films
Easy to operate especially after viewing instructional videos on YouTube.

Great price for a high quality scanner
So far so good. Scanned a roll of b/w at 4800 dpi and it looks amazing so far!

The best affordable artist's scanner I've found.
Seems to work like a new unit. The colors are very accurate and the ability to scan in 16bit grayscale is great. I draw with graphite pencils and getting a good black and white scan of my drawings is important to me. Because the lead is so shiny, I can go into the options and select "show texture" which uses an offset light for scanning. This does show the texture of the paper more, but it also reduces the reflection from the graphite and I can get darker darks.
