Lead the Field

First, let me say I have never written a review before but I could not help writing one this time. I have listened and read many other materials, but "Lead the Field" and the "Strangest Secret", are the only ones that have worked. Very simply, Earl Nightingale has turned my life around. He provides the tools to succeed in such a simple and straight forward manner. I listen to his CDs every morning and have found myself doing the things he suggests without hesitation. In fact, things I would never have considered doing before are exactly the things I cannot wait to do today. I look forward to every day with such gratitude in knowing that the amount of effort I put out cannot help but be returned to me tenfold.Not only does he teach you the methods for successful living, he gives you little nuggets of truth to live by --things that make us better people. Earl believes in having a good work ethic, one that we should share with our children so that they, too, begin at a young age to understand the concept that we make our own situations happen. We are the ones who determine our destiny -- where we fit into the pyramid of life. Simply put, we choose by our actions whether we will be at the bottom or the top of that pyramid.I guarantee you that once you have listened to these CDs, you will want to share them with everyone you care about!

These CD's arrived yesterday and I eagerly listened to the first 2 of the 4 disks. The concepts on these disks are timeless, and especially valuable today when the overwhelming narcissism of our culture/media sends the wrong message to our young people on what it takes to get ahead. His talk about "the boomerang" of self absorption is especially apt, as is the discussion about enthusiasm and gratitude.I have one caveat, however, that I think is a major detractor from these CD's. It's the music- not only dated and maudlin in its 'in your face' idealism, I know that something like this will turn the very people it's intended to instruct (the youth), from taking the entire package seriously.I'm lucky, I've home-schooled, my now college junior. He knows the value of well researched and honest advice (99% of other success seminar material is junk). He will listen to the CD's and look beyond the preachy music.This CD set is outstanding, but I suggest in the next issued set-to cut the music. It demeans the intellegence of the audience that it endeavors to attract. Butif you have mature and thinking kids, though, this will prove invaluable to their career success.

I have some of the original cassette tapes and have listened to them over the years, with outstanding results. In order to listen to them on my Droid and on the go, I decided to purchase the MP3 download.First, let me state that this audio series is one of the finest pieces of motivational and strategic thinking ever created. It is simple and stratightforward. No complicated charts, graphs or meditations. Only common sense and rational advice. If you want complication and workbooks, this is not for you. If you want to put a fire under yourself and get yourself pointed in the right direction (which might ultimately lead to more-complicated programs) and begin your journey to success, then this program is for you.However, this MP3 download is of HORRIBLE sound quality. It literally sounds as if someone placed a microphone next to a cassette tape player speaker. In order to hear it, it must be played at highest volume, but then it becomes so garbled and unintelligible that it is almost annoying.Until Amazon either provides a better quality download, or Nightingale-Conant remasters the original for MP3 use, I would suggest purchasing the CD or cassette tapes.

By far the most comprehensive manual for success I've ever listened to. I've acquired a lot of books and programs on self improvement years which never really hit the mark. Earl Nightingale's rang true for me right from the start. Not only does he have the content, but he's got the delivery to match- incomparable in my opinion. I've head the set for about a week now and have listened to it two to three times so far, finding something new each time. I wish I had rec'd this program as a teenager, as I'm sure it would have had an even deeper impact than it has now at the age of 45.

Great, good stress on honesty. excellence, do your best, aim to improve,care for others, generosity, service, balanced life, goals, one day at a time, atitude, develope self, education etcDid not like the over emphasis on material; goala. high Morals and service are basic. Still very true today as it was back then. A must read for anyone wanting to be more than just an average human being. This book will give advise on how to move up the ladder of success to at least be in the top 5%! It is a proven fact and an easy read. Earl Nightingale knew exactly what he was talking about!!!

This is absolutely awesome and each CD has a link to the other. The strange thing is, it's so simple and yet still, so effective! If you are looking for self improvement and serious about attaining it........this is a must have. Earl Nightingale was one of the best and he gave the world a different view of how achieve success.There is no way you will be disappointed with this!Good luck

A truly inspiring book for all people that genuinely want to get on in life. Vintage Earl Nightingale. Great to read the script of one of his best recordings. Read this if you want to get ahead in life.
