Bought this before the heatwave this year. What a brilliant buy, the unit cooled my bedroom beautifully all night. Just ran it on lowest setting and it kept the room at a reasonable temp without too much noise. It makes about the same noise as a fan in the bedroom so not to loud. I put the outlet through a window outlet to make sure we weren’t sucking in warm air all worked brilliantly and I only had it on for a couple of nights.

Good at providing cold air. My only draw back is the extract pipe being too short to reach window. I had to position very close to our side hung window and it would not reach the higher level windows. Hence 4 stars. It is noisy when trying to sleep however got used to it the coolest it generate helped to get to sleep. Don't know how much it has cost to run

This unit saved us this summer on the very hottest days. It’s very solidly made - far higher quality than a second, poor aircon unit that was the same price but was swiftly returned. It does a good job of cooling but you need a relatively small room. It’s effectiveness diminishes very quickly about 6-8 feet away even in an otherwise insulated room.The two main downsides are the bulk - it’s quite large, with a big fan on the front dispensing the cool air and the chiller on a section that juts out at the rear, plus it’s pretty heavy at around 35Kg; and it is very noisy - forget watching TV in the same room, let alone sleep, and having it on for 6-8 hours will give you a headache. Draining the water needs a rubber hose for the bottom or middle attachments but none is supplied, an oversight meaning you must lift it onto something then drain into a tray.All in all it’s OK, but only OK.

Smart looking piece of kit, however.... couldn't keep it on as far too loud. Couldn't sleep due to the noise! Having to pay to return. I would not reccomend for a bedroom at all.

It claims to cool down a 19 m2 room, I’ve had it in a 10 m2 room which was good, but not sure that it will be ok for a bigger size room. It’s noisy but I think it’s a standard for a portable aircon. I recommend to buy a window seal kit which is not included. Got it for £349.

I am quite surprised that it is not that noisy. It is around 55dB if I stand next to the air conditioner. aroind 50dB if I am 2 metres away.However, it is also a bit surprised that the fan mode makes almost the same noise as cool mode.It doesn't come with window kit, please note that.It works well for my 40sq metres dining room even it was 35 degrees outdoor. It is good enough to make the room comfortable at around 22 degrees.I like the cold air comes from the top instead of the front of the machine. Cool air goes to the ceiling then distribute to the entire room easier. This helps a lot in cooling.Delivery was speedy, I received it in 3 days.The down side is that the power cord is a bit short.
