I will give many thumbs up for this book. It will remind you of your self worth and belief that man is created in God's image for a specific purpose. It reminds us that we are complete in God

A Good Short Discussion of Man’s relationship to God
This is not a book but instead a collection of two speeches given by Dr. King that discuss Man’s place in the world. For Dr. King it is very obvious man did not truly live unless he both loved himself, by which he attempted to achieve self-actuation, loved his fellow men, and loved God. While you may agree or disagree with his conclusion he was a brilliant writer and made his points well. My one complaint with this book is it doesn’t give us much in the way of context of when he gave this speech or why other then saying it was at a religious conference. The context of when and why someone is writing is an important part of understanding their ideas especially when it has been over fifty years since the speech was given. Still it remains a timeless quality that allows you to understand his main points even then due to his sheer skill as a speechwriter and author.

A Glimpse Into Dr. King
Although this book was brief, it gave a glimpse into the thought process of Dr. King, and showed the brilliance of his thinking. His mind was fully engaged, yet followed the leading of God. Thanks for this book.

Small book Big message
This is an easy book to read but profound. The points discussed are truly central to how we live a meaningful life. Application of them can change how we think and see God, ourselves and others.

MLK’s “Simple” Anthropology
This is a small book by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, which contains two devotional sermons given at a United Church of Christ conference, and it was a delightful read. What you will find in these pages is a thoroughly Christian anthropology, so the title is fitting: “The Measure of Man.” The first sermon looks at the nature of humanity, describing not only the majesty of humanity made in the image of God (Ps. 8 “just a little lower than the angels”), but also the corruption of sinful humanity who is in need of grace. The second sermon looks at the purpose of humanity, which is to love yourself properly, your neighbor, and above all God; he helpful illuminates how different types of people miss the complete life of all three loves (those who only love themselves miss so much of life because they don’t love neighbor, and secular humanists who love themselves and love neighbor miss the powerful source and ultimate reason for love because they don’t look “in the sky”). Because the book is actually sermons, it was very readable with a preacher’s vivid language. I appreciate MLK’s simplicity, but it is easy to tell from his engagement with Scripture and a breadth of authors that this is that type of simplicity which comes “on the far side of complexity.” I highly recommend this gem to all readers.

Good read
This was my second MLK book I've read. Definitely puts my life in perspective. It's what I expected to read based off the title of the book.

Where do i begin! A MUST read
I have not read many book so far however this book exploded in my mind (in a good way ofcourse) from language itself to what is in the book written by the great Martin Luther King is so worthy of a read. The language is not tricky and is quite informal, which is good as it felt MLK was having a conversation directly with the reader. The chapters maybe short however the brief yet very well written chapters which would enlighten many people's spirit are a must read. The author covers basic questions and solutions which has been forgotten in time and takes the reader into each topic step by step. This is one of the reasons why Martin Luther King was the great man that he was, his knowledge to his wisdom, this book signifies his brilliance. I am definetely looking forward to purchasing other books by Martin Luther King, they just have such a effect on a person's mood and spirit.

Very short, but inspirational
This book is very short, I wasn't expecting it to be this small, but at the same time Martin delivers such profound statments and helps get a very focused opinion across.
