Takes some practice. Don't bother with a soldering gun though... Use a pencil torch and flux is totally needed! Fits the bill, but takes some practice if you've never soldered anything this large.

These looked like a nice cheap substitute for the more costly EC5 connectors I use from Eflite. But I immediately ran into an issue with the plastic housing after soldering 10 gauge wire into the male or female connections leads. The leads themselves are not appropriately sized for 10 AWG forcing me to trim the wire leads for my ESC to get the wires to fit into the male and female connectors and soldered in. Shortly after this, I noticed the male and female connector leads will not actually fit into the back side of the plastic housing EC5 plugs. I tried and tried and couldn’t get these connectors to go in after soldering. I use male leads for my ESC’s and female connector leads for my batteries. I even reversed this concept with this product and put the opposite plastic connector housing to the opposite plug but these will not fit into the EC5 blue plastic housing plugs either way. The female connector leads are the biggest issue of the two which have an oversized base and partially fit into the blue EC5 connector plugs without going in all the way. I tested this without even soldering these plugs to my dismay after fighting to try and get a set to go into the blue plastic housing of two different plugs. The male connector leads will go into the appropriate plastic plug but won’t force down and snap into place in the blue EC5 plug housing.This is such an effortless task with my name brand EC5 plugs so this seems to be a defect in this particular aftermarket branded product. They do not function correctly so I threw them out and ordered up name brand EC5’s once more from Horizon Hobby even though they are three times the price. At least the name brand connectors clip down into place after soldering when pushed into the back of the blue plastic housing EC5 plugs unlike these ones.

I did not have a single issue with this purchase. Be careful tapping the bullets into the connector. All went in nice and a big improvement over the Traxxas plugs that I have been using.

The housing is too tight and impossible to he the connector inside. You can't even get 1mm inside the housing
