A monumental trophy for my shelf.
Thirrling, captivatting, legendary novel written by Bret Easton Elison. Follows step of Patrick (not -Batman) through his self imagined world of horrors. With slight tinge of comedy, romance it is a perfect treat of interest.

Bad quality of paperback book
I was especially excited about the paperback version with a white cover, got this instead. This is definitely not an original copy as evident from paper and cover quality.

The most uncomfortable and the funniest book
This books has a dark cynical sense of humor. This is basically being a troll and edgy before the internet. However, there's a lot of psychological and sociological Insights with profound hidden behind all the edgy and cool persona.

Disturbing...
This is a book set in the 80's among the Yuppies of Wall Street and their blind materialism. The existing credo of the time was "Greed is good". The people who populate the pages of the book are superficial, materialistic and emotionally hollow. They make up for their inability to connect with others on an emotional level by seeking solace in 'stuff' (expensive clothes, appliances, cosmetics, gadgets, furniture, etc.). A lot of the novel is a monologue by the protagonist Patrick Bateman going through his daily routine of grooming and beautification, the appliances in his house, the fancy restaurants he dines in, the perfumes he wears, the equally narcissistic colleagues and peers that surround him and his frequent and almost constant use of narcotics.I took up reading this book simply because I'm a big fan of the movie adaptation and Christian Bale's performance in it. Just couldn't stop picturing him in my head while I was reading the book.
