A great book that takes you through the life of Abraham as if you are living it with him. Understanding Abrahams life inspires me to trust God for direction and to ask Him to lead me.

Abraham is a very well written biography by Chuck Swindoll a must for any religious library.

As a Muslim, i found Mr. Charles's analysis of Abraham enlightening, and refreshing.I connected deeper to the "father of prophets"....."the friend of God".The Quran praises Abraham with the arabic phrase (khaleel) which is a word meaning a very very close friend...This friendship is deep and its nice to see how it developed with time so that we can try to develop that friendship ourselves with God.I have some reservations about the authors comments about the state of israel and God's promise....but no need to mention it here as the essence of the book is learning from Abraham's story and not turning it into politics.May God bless Abraham, Isaac, Ismael, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, and all his prophets, and all the righteous humans on this earth. 🙏🙏🙏

I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to read this book. Many days the writing was exactly what I needed for my day. I cannot say enough good things about how this book showed direction for my life and my days challenge. I am excited to read all the books about the men and women in the Bible.Thank you for following God's plan in writing these books.

My wife and I had visited Beersheba a place where Abraham, Sarah and Hagar lived. I’d read the Genesis accounts of Abraham’s life and wanted more insight into Abraham. Charles Swindoll enlightened me a challenged me in this book. I feel blessed to have have found this jewel!

I used this book as a guide while teaching through this portion of Genesis. It helped bring some lessons down home to where people live. Recommended!

An excellent read. Well written and supplements with great personal illustrations and practical, down to earth advice. This book will encourage and inspire you.
