I bought this Matt Block Paving Sealer to go with the Smartseal Block Magic Red/Grey colour sealant, as a final cover, and to say I’m overwhelmed by the outcome.My driveway block paving is over 25yrs old, weather beaten and colours gone, hence the block paving colours, following all instructions I must say it was very easy to apply even with a 9inch roller.Strong smell so neighbours will be able to smell it for a few hours but it does disappear, the end finish is superb even on top of the colour.Wear old clothes if using a roller it will splash all over, even use old footwear and if I short sleeves remove watch, don’t apply too thin a you won’t see the final effect two good coats is plenty it really does what it says on the tin.

Really transformed our block paved driveway with a good matt sheen finish. Easy to use - having tried both I would recommend roller rather than spray application. Has hardened the kiln dried sand between the blocks so hopefully will stop the weeds. Expensive, but well worth it for the results. Wear a mask! It’s potent

So far so good, the kiln sand has gone rock hard, it's only been done a few days so time will tell. It was very difficult not to drag the ssnd out of the joints so in areas there is some sand which has set on the block. Also it does give your blocks a permanent wet look.

This sealant can be applied by spraying and greatly enhances the paved driveway coloured block paving. A second coat is easily applied as the adhesion properties overcome the first coat rejecting further applications.

There was nothing that I disliked about both products both were easy to use. I used both products on my block paved drive way.

I had high hopes for this product and was extremely pleased with the finish ease of use and water just beaded off.However 6 months later it needs redoing, really disappointing as it cannot be redone during the winter and this is the time it really needs protection. Not long lasting as it states really disappointed

I used the product for my large blocked driveway and so far, so good.I would suggest that you follow a routine, especially if like myself your aim is to prevent weeds growing in between the joints.Remove by hand larger weeds carefully so to get the roots lifted out also. Scrape joints with ideally wired brush so you dig down and remove not only smaller weeds, but moss / stones / earth. Jet spray to clean to blocks and get the last of the dirt from the joints out. Use kiln dried sand to fill the joints on, ideally, a nice sunny day so that blocks and joints are dry before adding the sand. Brush to sand in and remove excess sand.Now you are ready to coat with this product which I did by roller - Use ample and not sparsely as you are not only looking to cover the facing blocks, but you are wanting plenty to seep down in to the cracks. If you have enough left over, I would suggest a second coat one day later even though the products dries well within 3/4 hours.You will see that the joints have now solidified so nothing will be able to grow through. Note that water will likely gather is you have any dips in your driveway and the water will take a good deal of time to filter through now.1 month later the driveway looks as good as new still, not one weed showing (normally at this time of the year I would be playing cat and mouse trying to pull out weeds).Price wise I felt was a bit heavy hence by 3 star placed in the value for money rating - Rest was all 5 star.

Used in the driveway did the job recommend to my neighbour too he will get some too.Only thing was did arrive on time as mentioned so order before hand. As my driver guy had to come twice.
