Terra Connoisseur - Gemstones Book Hardcover – International Edition, January 1, 2017

This book is absolutely gorgeous. The photographs of the gems are stunning and of such great quality it looks like you could pluck them right off the page. I swear if I touch the gems in the photos the paper even feels slightly different. The information is simply but entertainingly presented and I enjoy the fact that there are so many people who have contributed to the book. The sections are very short so they are very readable. I have some other books where the information is so densely and technically presented that it can be hard to follow but these smaller passages make the book really fly by. Highly recommend this beautiful book. Even if you don’t read it the photos alone are worth the cost!!

As a 30+year Graduate Gemologist and former colored stone faceter, I loved the extremely well lite pictures of the gemstones in this book - and the stunning quality of cutting. I liked the images of the rough first and then the finished stones - and the background photographs brought home to anyone where the rough comes from and who mines for it, and the countries these stones are found in.It gives the average person or potential jewelry purchaser an instant idea of the quality of color in these wonderful colored stones that are not usually seen in common or mall style jewelry stores. This would be a great book for jewelry stores to buy to be able to show clients what the stone they are looking for SHOULD look like, and not the more common dreck that is out there. Another excellent colored stone book add to my library. Very happy with purchase.

This beautiful book is amazing - featuring many of my favourite gems, showing extraordinary, large, stunning jewels and the landscapes they are extracted from. Breathtaking scenery and the people who mine the gems. I also love the way Vladyslav features old maps to show origin. An absolute feast for the eyes, would be a great gift for anyone who loves Gemstones!

Returned but is a good product. Better Price Elsewhere!!!
