New Slim Style 240W 180W AC Adapter Charger for Dell Precision 7710 7730 7520 Dell Alienware Laptop Charger Power Supply Cord

This adapter works well with all of the laptops I've plugged it into so far. I do quite a bit of maintenance for clients, and this has been a solid piece of gear for my bench. Depending on sales, this can be about 30-50% cheaper than buying one from Dell.

Much like printer ink and batteries for power tools, I don’t know why computer manufacturers can’t just agree on one universal charging platform. All that aside, I hate paying a ton of money for a name brand charger that I will inevitably leave in a hotel room or break in my luggage or crimp under a piece of furniture. I am a Dell fanboy and generally only use Dell branded items but in this economy, I don’t mind cutting corners so I can afford to eat eggs again.I ordered this to use with a Dell Alienware laptop. This is a high watt charger, probably the highest wattage one I own. I can’t test if it will reach that level but it worked every bit as well as my OEM Dell charger for my purposes. No major concerns with it. It charged my gear as fast as I expected it to. It didn’t get hot. There were no software warnings or incompatibility issues. I stressed the cord at various places and it seems to be well manufactured. The cable jacket and junction points all seem pretty durable. The cord length was longer than the charger it replaced which is nice. I can’t speak to its durability since I’ve only used it for about a month, but if it fails early for reasons other than my own misuse and abuse, I will update my review.

I got this laptop charger to use specifically for travel so that I don't have to undo the charger on my desk at home. It comes in a plain box and is nicely packaged with a standard 3-prong power cord and the charger with attached output cable. As the description states, it is a 240W charger for Dell laptops that use the 7.4x5.0mm connector. I used this charger with a 7.4x5.0mm to 4.5x3.0mm adapter and it works perfecty on my Gigabyte Aorus. Even when the laptop is working hard, fans are on, and GPU is cranking it out for gaming, it will keep the laptop charged. It is slim and compact and perfect for travel. It is slightly larger than the one that came with my laptop but my favorite thing about it is that it is completely silent. No humming or whirring noises coming from it at all. In addition, this costs about half of what it would cost to buy a new one from Gigabyte! This is a great working charger at a good price!

The product is large and solidly made, which is good. Plugs and cords seem really good and should last a long while. Item appears to be as advertised. One thing I don't like about it is that the plug that goes into the computer is very wiggly compared to the plug on my current Dell-brand charger (which is being replaced because the cord by that plug has come apart), however the laptop charges and wiggling the plug doesn't seem to cause it to change charge states (meaning it continues to charge despite wiggling). I did confirm & measure the plug/tip size prior to buying as compared to the Dell one, so I'm not sure why this one is so wiggly.It was made in China per its label, and the label has some words spelled incorrectly which I found interesting but not necessarily relevant to how well the product functions.

Good quality charger and cable, handles the fast charge function well, and the 10 foot cable lets me plug it in pretty much anywhere I need to and it still will reach. The price for the 2-pack is comparable ot retail store price of a single set, so I consider it a really good value. Recommend.

I use this 240w charger with my Alienware M17-R4 3070 laptop. It charges fine, but gets pretty warm if the laptop is under a heavy load. It's smaller than the brick that came with the laptop, so I use it when I travel.

The media could not be loaded. I am using this as a travel charger for my dell precision workstation. basic and works well. measured the voltage and its a little hot and not by much. recommended.

I have been attempting to troubleshoot this item for the better part of a day now. The AC Adaptor charges my laptop for a minute or two, then turns off. the LED light turns off and the AC Adaptor doesn't register as plugged in. The only way I have been able to charge my laptop to 100% is to monitor the plugged-in indicator on my taskbar and when the AC Adaptor turns off, I have to unplug the brick, then plug it in again. I will be returning this faulty product and seeking a refund.
