I really thought this was a good idea when I saw it. When I received it, it definitely did not disappoint. It does take a little bit of manipulation in the back of your head, but definitely does the job. It’s probably even easier if someone’s able to help you. I thought the smaller one was really helpful to create angles in the front. Overall I really well-made product. I liked that it locked in place making it a lot easier. It was a really good value for the money, and I would definitely buy again.

This cannot be used for soft fine hair it slides right out

I have long hair almost to my waist that needs cutting to an inch below the shoulders.... with Covid-19 JN1 on the rise in the USA, I did not want to chance it at a salon being in close contact indoors with the stylist and others for an hour plus $80.40 is steep with a 20% tip added. I would rather cut my own hair and save $$$.I purchased this tool to help with me cutting my hair. I can say it isnt User friendly, the locking mechanism I had to fumble with till I finally got it locked then it just slides out of my hair( I have fine hair). I tried it again, thus time I had to hold in place them the little bubble I had a hard time getting it to stay in the center. I did cut 5 inches off, but my hair was noticeable uneven. I just put the tool away and did my own free form cutting which was a lot better and came out even. I gave the tool to my neighbor who has 2 young children and does their hair with not great results, I feel this tool would help her a lot, she was appreciative.

I use the small blue level to trim my bangs (fringe) and plan to use the wide white level to trim my hair soon. I don't really need the actually level much, but the teeth of the clip are great for holding hair steady and making it easy for quick home trims. Saving some money, for sure!

This is very difficult to use. With all of the clamping it on your hair, dragging to where you want your hair to be cut at, and then trying to make it level (using the levels on the clamps) is a little bit much and doesn’t really make sense when you think about it further. At least in terms of trying to cut your own hair.. you also can’t make sure you’re hair is level in the back or even work on over direction or the angles of the hair pulled correctly. All in all, I don’t think it’s worth it unless you’re planning to use it to cut someone else’s hair and not your own.

This product is very easy to use to cut your own hair.
