🚀 Elevate Your 3D Printing Game!
The Upgrade Bimetal Heatbreak is a high-performance component designed for Creality Ender 3 and CR10 series 3D printers. It features dual hardened steel gears, a bimetal heatbreak made from copper and titanium, and a unique pulley bearing design to enhance lubrication and stability during printing. This upgrade ensures seamless filament feeding and reduces the risk of nozzle blockages, making it an essential addition for serious 3D printing enthusiasts.

Parts in box don't match install instructions.
I purchased this to replace another direct drive extruder I have. There are no instructions in the box at all. Amazon has some, but they are difficult to see and don't match the screws in the box. To be clear I purchased the direct drive version. I've never had a problem putting any of these kits together. The screws that come with this are not labeled and the direction give no indication of what screws are used where. I basically was constantly trying different screws for fit. Not worth my time. I'll just get something else.

Great hotend and extruder very pleased with print results!
Everything went together nicely some slight modifications were needed but not much and it prints way better than any other hotend I've tried for my ender 3 but this one takes the cake for sure and I've had the Spider 3 and generic micro swiss!!

Where does the thermistor go
No instructions can anyone tell how the thermistor goes into the block

Just so You are aware.
I was attempting to set this up on an Ender 3 v2.This is a total disaster. From the blower vent being lower than the nozzle to the set up.poor quality hardware.and BTW you still need your own heater & thermister.i will continue to see if i can make this work and will update this when done.thanks

An excellent upgrade
I really like this the only complaints I have is it comes with only 1 brass washer instead of 2 like most kits, but the reason seems to be the arm misalignment. This does not cause issues in general printing but only when changing filaments, the combination can cause a jam during a "hotswap".My second complaint is the lack of alternative cooling support.(the duct in my photos is on Printables 694323)Now I really like with the stock fan setup you can still use a left side BL touch setup like I have but not if you have a 40x40x20mm fan instead of 40x40x10mm it wont fit with the included duct or screws. I also like how simple it was to assemble, it came with a titanium heartbreak which is good because the one I had already for my stock ender heatsink doesn't fit this and it's not the same as the sprite either.Prints are spectacular with this setup. Truly worth the upgrade to not have anymore PTFE in my hotend I plan on printing much higher temp materials and this is a quality option. the amount of cooling area is much larger than the stock heatsink and since everything is connected it cools the extruder too. I added a heatsink in my photo to further increase cooling (not sure if it helps)

Not bad, but not great.
This hotend is fine but needs mods to work. The inlet for the filament needs cleaned up. The opening is sharp and sometimes shaves off some of the filament. I had to file the opening, in pictures. The screws for the stepper motor are to long for the Creality steeper motor. You either need space it or get different screws. They are the same screws as the dual gear direct drive that has to mount to a plate. This mounts directly to the hotend. I’m still tweaking it, we’ll see how it goes.
