Mildewed maté is not my cup of tea.
This tea arrived with the bag broken and tea everywhere. I had to decant it into a jar. Then when I made my first gourd of this maté (and I am no stranger to maté, having spent much time in Argentina and having drunk maté ever since), I found it undrinkable. VERY VERY VERY moldy taste. Mildew. I can't return it because I don't have the (broken) bag, and I am out twenty bucks. I am not a happy maté camper.

A 365-day-a-year treat with zero negative effects.
I've been drinking mate for 20 years instead of coffee; for many people like me, it is far gentler and much more sustainable than coffee on the body and mind. I bought my first bag of this brand at a farmer's market in Missoula, MT. I confess I found the price tag a bit high but I wanted to support a local business(and i got a free cup of iced mate!). The fact is, this is the best mate I've ever had. It has almost no large pieces and a high degree of the fine powder that translates to great flavor and no bitterness. Add a spoonful of honey and you've got an exceptional morning(or anytime) beverage, with a nice boost of energy without a coffee-style let-down. A 365-day-a-year treat with zero negative effects. And for people like me that work almost everyday, that's a really nice thing to look forward to when I wake up.

Tasteless--bland!
Very disappointing. The reviews were so good that I had high expectations. It is so WEAK in flavor and aroma that I used 3 times as much as I do with my regular brand and still it was virtually tasteless. Also, when I purchased it, I assumed it was a one pound bag and discovered it is only 14 oz. so the price is not as low as I had thought. I'm going back to my regular brand; it's always reliable although more expensive.

Best Stuff Ever!!
This is the smoothest, and most delicious tea I have ever had. It really helps wake me up and get me through my day without making me feel jittery and there is no hard crash. :) :)
