Really good quality
This kit saves me much time at the dentist's office and I don't get chastised by the hygenist when they don't have that much cleaning to do. It takes a bit of learning to figure out where the plaque lives on the teeth but once you have that down, it's pretty easy to do your own cleaning.

Molded Case
We received this item today and opened it excited to use it for much needed teeth cleaning only to find that the red inside of the case is covered in colonies of moldy growth. This was an absolutely disgusting discovery and there is no way we can use this item as we intended to now.

Effective Do-It-Yourself Tartar Control
These tools make plaque and tartar removal easy if a tartar-softening mouthwash, such as Plax, OraGel, Spry or ACT, is also used. After the tartar softens sufficiently, a suitable pick will usually cause the tartar to disintegrate easily, and brushing should remove whatever remains; if not, then use the mouthwash for several days until the tartar softens, or change to another type of mouthwash. A suggestion for tartar removal is to keep a suitable tartar-softening mouthwash in contact with the teeth and gums for a longer time than is usually recommended on the product label, which is typically only a minute or less. I usually retain the mouthwash for a minimum of 5 to 10 minutes prior to brushing. Using a vanity mirror and the small inspection mirror in this kit, along with a flashlight, it's easy to inspect all of my teeth and gums. After all the plaque and tartar are gone, I use a home-made sugar alcohol mouthwash, consisting of erythritol and/or xylitol crystals mixed in a glass of water, several times every day to prevent microbes (such as streptococcus mutans) from producing the plaque which turns into tartar and leads to periodontal disease. This procedure has significantly reduced or eliminated my need for expensive hygiene cleanings and dental repair work. Before this, I needed two or more hygiene cleanings every year due to abnormally rapid tartar accumulation.

Bought it for my dog and I ended up snatching one for my tool box.
high quality product to remove build-ups on my dog's teeth. Since there are so many of them with different shapes, and all we need is just one for my dog, every one of them found their purpose in life including my toolbox to manipulate cables and wires.

Must have
Very neat item to have handy. It’s sharp and can do some serious damage if you’re not carefully. I enjoy that though, it seems like it’s made for real professionals and no small fry stuff. It’s helped in between my two dental visits I’ve had this year. Definitely a good product I feel like every household should have either in use or just in case.
