I have been buying these for years. Excellent product!

These sandals are excellent. They've served as my primary summer shoes for the last few years (I find I go through one a summer, about). In my opinion, the Naot ones look a bit nicer (though I think these look great) -- but those cause lots of blisters. The Seibel ones are very comfortable and (for me, at least) require almost no break-in period.

These sandals are well made and comfortable but the quaility has slightly decreased compared to other similar sandals I purchased from Joseph Seibel. My previous pair still looks classic from above but the rubber sole has split left to right on both sides. The split is down to the under leather and cannot be possibly repaired. You would probably be able to wear them for at least five years. They are comfortable and worth the cost but they have a limited life span.

Excellent sandal, although I am not yet sure about the long term quality. I normally buy Cole-Haan which have been known to last 10 years. I tried these instead and I have been very happy with the purchase. They look great and are very comfortable. It will take a few years before I know if they match up to Cole Haan, but otherwise, these are great sandals.

The straps are excessively long. The stitching of straps to the sole missed the mark, the material is thin and pulled away from the stitching within two wearings. I have purchased this brand before, having multiple pairs and long wearing with heavy use for over a year. Thinking I got a bad pair, I wanted to return/exchange but missed deadline. Amazon are you listening? There is nowhere to email past the return date, buyer beware, even if you are a loyal customer?

It took me some time to find these sandals, having bought my first pair of J Seibel sandals at Dillard's many years ago. These sandals are really comfortable--I sensed the comfort immediately upon first putting them on.

Amazon listed the product as 'Imported'... The UN alone has say 200 members many of whom manufacture footwear, so, how does one know that a German company that once produced their product in Germany still does? Attention to detail to quality control is not what it once was. While out and about on my first wearing the heel strap rubbed. On return home found that the thread used to stitch fabric to leather had not been trimmed. Ouch. That said, with three adjustable straps rather than the two in the quarter strap Rockport, among others, better materials, leather footbed rather than fabric, a quality synthetic sole rather than rubber while not Mephisto a better choice than many others.
