I purchased this fan to blow all of the hot/stuffy air out of my house when it starts cooling off outside on summer days. I live in the PNW where most houses do not have air conditioning, so heat control via curtains during the day and fans in the evening is a common practice.This is by far the most powerful electric fan I’ve used. It’s not quite as powerful as the gasoline powered models fire departments use to clear smoke, but it would probably work for that purpose. It is also extremely well built and not as heavy as one might expect.I have also used it to blow welding and paint fumes out of my garage with great results.The only downside is noise, but that’s going to be the case with any fan that moves this much air. The motor itself is not loud, the noise is from the massive amount of air being pushed by the fan blades.I would strongly recommend this fan to anyone looking for a powerful fan. It costs 3-4x as much as a normal box fan, but it’s moving 10x the air. The all metal construction and stable base also mean you don’t have to worry about it tipping over.

Very pleased to find a fan as powerful as it claims to be. I did not rate it on noise level because I did not purchase fan wanting something quiet, I wanted power and this fan has it. Great for airing out home in the morning and getting rid of the hot air. This fan is a must have if you do not have a good AC. This fan is better than my AC and a very small price to pay for comfort.

Great product, moves a large volume of air with less noise than other fans I've seen/heard. We bought 2 for a large back deck area to help keep it cool and no bugs - worked very well.
