As inexpensive as what could be found at a Walmart or Meijer. But as protective and comfortable as the ones that cost upwards of a hundred dollars at a shop.The padding is amazing. The compression is great. And the sizing is true to what you think you will need.This is definitely a positive result to the homework and research I’ve done before purchasing this item because I refuse to spend $100 or more on riding shorts.And the best information and schooling I’ve found about these shorts originated from credible, reputable sites and blogs that provide one with real information.I’ll be getting a few more of these and recommend them anytime to anyone.

I just used these padded bicycle shorts for the first time yesterday (February 10, 2024) for a 1 hour ride and 30 minute Peloton ride. They were comfortable and I really liked the fit. I have another brand that I will discard and order a few more pairs of these. The quality of the material is good as well.

Great fit and visibility. Get a size one larger than recommended. I was borderline M/L and went with M at first but they were too tight. Returned to Amazon and went with L and they are perfect.

Comfy fit, padding plenty thick & properly placed for biking. Perfect fit: XL for 6'2" 198 lbs 37" waist.

The short is very comfortable and has great padding for long rides BUT the waist band is too long and goes above the umbilicus over the abdomen preventing abdominal breathing when riding hard; hills climbing, ..... The waist band should be below the umbilicus for at least 3 inches then a five star will be merited.

I purchased the “upgrade Sponeed Cycling shorts” in July. Others have complained of the fit. I believe with bicycling shorts the fit for each individual can vary depending on body shape and the preferences of the rider. I am always apprehensive when buying a new style and size bike short of the fit. For me the fit and size of the Sponeed Shorts was good. The padding was in the correct anatomical position and the correct thickness for protection.I appreciate that a bag was sent to wash the shorts in. I have never washed my shorts in a bag before but since the bag was sent I wash the shorts in the bag. I must say the material has held up well over some serious bike riding over the last four months. The deal breaker in my case has been mentioned many times in previous comments. The “upgraded anti-slip leg grippers” fit loose. I have not had this problem in any previous bike shorts that I have worn over the past 40 years. There is a fine line by wanting the bottom of the shorts to fit snug and being too tight. In my case they are loose and after putting some miles on the bike there is no improvement. After putting them on the first time, the grippers being loose, I thought that the material would breakdown. This is not the case, the material itself has held up well, the grippers are just loose. Some reviews have noted that the lower shorts “creep up”. I have not noticed this personally but I have been watching for this closely. This was not the case with me. Had it been the case I would have returned the shorts.I don’t buy bike shorts with price in mind. I buy shorts for fit, quality and comfort. I would buy these shorts again because the fit for me was good and I have not experienced the “creep” as of yet. More time will determine if this is the correct decision or not.Just a final note I am 6’2” 190 with a 36” waist and ordered the X-Large.
