This was a fun picture to do and I was pleasantly surprised with the mystery picture.The symbols and letters were very clear and there was plenty of diamonds.

I had never worked on a mystery diamond painting before. It was fun, and not something I would normally order, but the quality was good. Will probably donate it.

It would not have been something that I would have chosen, but it was super fun watching it come together. I'll do another "mystery" in the near future.

The canvas is very sticky, symbols are clear. Nice quality of canvas and the sticky field does not extend past the picture by much, so no need for washi tape. Legend and keys are excellent not confusing like some. Drills are all good. Only had a few I had to trash. However the drills come in the packets connected to each other. I highly dislike that myself. I prefer them in the zip lock baggies. Plenty of drills, but not the insane amount that go to waste. I had no idea what the picture was before starting. That was fun. Plus it was printed upside down so it brought my mystery. This doesn't affect the picture at all especially if you plan on framing. One of my favorites for sure and I've ordered a few more

Quality was on par with other diamond paintings I've gotten. I only really have two complaints. The first I can overlook - since the printer used J and 1 as symbols, you could kinda tell the jist of what you're gonna get. Those symbols are "thinner" than the other symbols, so the squares have more white space, and that creates an outline of sorts. (Seen in first image)The second complaint will probably stop me from getting a second one, at least with round drills - because the canvas is completely white, you get "bleed through" after putting on the drills. Round drills don't cover the entire square so where the corners are is white.And maybe that's fine for a picture with lighter colors. But it makes this one with dark colors look more disconnected and bad compared to other finished canvases. From a side angle (last photo), it looks great, and only makes me wish it looked like that from the front. I think square drills may do a better job but most options I saw on Amazon were round drills only.

There were three sizes possible listed - 12 X 16, 16 X 12, 12 X 12. I was glad to get the 12 X 16. The second would have been just as good, though. I was glad to get one of the two larger sizes just because I thought it would be more fun.I haven't got the slightest idea what it is yet since I just got it 10 minutes ago! However, it does have the clear plastic overlay which implies it is poured glue rather than two-sided tape. Also, the DMC color number are clearly given.The colors included are bright pinks and lavenders with darker purples, blues and so forth. Maybe it will be a Japanese floral design. Just a first guess based on the colors. I like bright colors so that was another plus.The bags included are larger than the tiny bags sometimes found in these kits. The tiny bags are kept for other things that might need tiny bags (like watch batteries). These bags are big enough that I can put one bag of drills in each one. Also, there are 25 of them and the design has 24 colors. Perfect!I might increase to 5 stars after I get well into it or finished. The only reason for the one star missing is caution. I still don't know what I've gotten myself into but I'm happy and hopeful.Now I have to finish the one I'm doing now before I can start!Updated to reduce to 1 star. The image turned out to be a skull! It was probably for a Day of the Dead celebration but I feel that is poor taste in a mystery design.

To be fair, I am only about half way through but I'm very happy with this. They symbols are very easy to read (unlike another I have tried) and the drills have smooth tops so they're comfortable to rest on while working other sections. I had a guess as to what the picture was before starting but I was wrong and very pleased.

I love the idea of this. But I didn't like my design.
