BonideCaptain Jack's Insecticidal Super Soap, 32 oz Ready-to-Use Spray For Organic Gardening and Outdoor Plants

I used this product on my alocasia and two schismatoglottis with spidermites. I also used it on neighboring plants as a preventative. I have been struggling with spider mites for months as they are resistant to pesticides. This product is soap based so you need to act like you are treating your kid for headlice as it doesn't kill eggs. Treat your plant weekly for at least a month, every 4/5 days during the hot period as the mites mature quicker. I give the top soil a spray and wipe the pot too. If you are persistent you will break the life cycle.

The bottle itself is very large being a US measurement so great value in that sense, however for the price this is essentially just purified water with soap and some salt added. I was under the assumption this would have some other active ingredients based on this brands other products but unfortunately not.I think with the markup of this item it makes sense to DIY the soap yourself if going for organic.

I'd struggled for almost a year trying to rid my beloved monsteras of thrips, and I swear this spray worked magic, and without damaging the plants at all. The thrips were visibly dead on the leaves, and although I did a repeat application just to be sure, it seemed it worked even with just one application. I wish I'd found this stuff sooner!! Also, it says it's for outdoor plant use only, but I found as long as you do the spraying outside and leave them to dry for a while, they're fine to be brought back inside with no harsh chemical smells present.

I was able to finally talk to this wonderful woman, Rachel, at Binide who told me about the product I bought , that I had many questions about. It is not for indoor plants. Reason being one of the tiny ingreds shouldn't be inhaled... as it would need ventilation.Rachel told me of another of their product for indoor use, which I quickly ordered, that is used in indoor plants and with Neem Oil. The 100% Neem Oil is that not the best either, the 30% in theirs has a better holding capability, and she said it is great for fungus gnats, my issue. YAY!Very happy I was able to reach out to them again and get a call back the same dayWould highly recommend them again and I just bought the product she recommended :)UPDATE ON THIS PART BELOWPs. although I liked the first spray and how it felt on my plants leaves, i used mask and lots of fans blowing when I did this, I am probably safe, but my lucky friend will get the bottle!

Had a serious problem with aphids in my citrus trees in the indoor arboretum. It's inside and I didn't want to spray some sort of dangerous insecticide indoors, plus the fact I have two aquariums set up in the arboretum aa well. So it was a no brainer to go with some sort of "Organic" Pesticide. I decided to try Captain Jack's as the product had some good reviews. After taking the precautions of covering my aquariums and fountains, it was time to go on the attack. First, drench your plant, on both sides of the leaved. Aphids are exceptionally hard to get rid of, so soak the target plants well. Captain Jack's worked well. The aphids were wiped out in one heavy application of Captain Jack's. The spray worked quit well, no nasty odors, and is very easy to apply straight from the sprayer bottle. Plus no harmful effects on my pets or myself. Three weeks later I noticed another small infestation of aphids in one tree. Out came the Captain, and another total drenching of my trees. I haven't seen any aphids since the second application. Great, my trees are putting out new growth and look healthy again. Great product, safe to use indoors or out. Follow the directions and you should get excellent results.

I've used bonide products for use because they work and are recognized for organic gardening. The bottle I received leaks a bit and the sprayer can be a little wonky at times but I absolutely love this brand and the product itself it a good prevention and treatment.
