Excellent value for the price!
I bought 4 of these for my team at work. From other ratings I half expected some of them to be DOA, but they all worked without any issues. Just plug it in and it works! No more manually typing in every 12+ digit license plate or order number when we can just scan the barcode or square pixel code thing (it does those too!). Not only saves typing time, but also means a lot less time leaning over or squeezing into uncomfortable positions to read a code when you can just point and click with this. At such a low price there is no reason any warehouse worker that uses a laptop shouldn't have a 2D scanner!

FANTASTIC SCANNER
I don't write reviews but this product earned one...I bought this to replace my 1D scanner that cost more than 2 times as much. I'm using it on a mac.1. plug/play right out of the box2. LOTS of features that I never would have known about if it wasn't for the really cool user manual: it's full of QR codes that you just scan to change the setting of the scanner – very cool!So far, I'm very impressed! I'll update my review if anything changes.

You get what you pay for
I took a chance on this barcode scanner despite the low price being a concern. Sure enough, it was a poor decision to buy it. It worked great for the first 10 minutes then quit working. No amount of troubleshooting, changing USB ports, or changing host devices is able to resurrect it. Buyer beware. Probably some get lucky and get a unit that lasts...some like me will get one that is a dud. There is no quality control at this price point.

Amazing, just got the thing this afternoon and it has saved me hours of work.
I had been recording UPC codes by hand and finally got tired of it, so I bought this.Immediately worked after being connected, completely plug and play.It has to be connected to a computer, but for the price you couldn't ask for anything better.

Worked great for me on linux and windows 10. great device for the price
Helping my son build an online db, and needed a quick way to add data. This worked great right out of the box. Instructions are just about worthless, but some tinkering and searching got me going. There is a paperclip in the box, its used to disconnect the USB cable.

Worked
I was surprised how it worked out of the box.

Instructions are very strange. Just QR not bar codes.
The supplied instructions are just QR codes. I had to watch videos from similar companies in order to understand how to work the scanner properly.

I Plugged and Played right out of the box
I just plugged it in to a USB port, opened a text file, and started scanning Code 128 bar codes on postal labels and DataMatrix codes on stamps. The codes appeared in the text files, except where cancellations on thestamps interfered with reading.
