Angelus1 oz Leather Paint, 1 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Pacific Blue

I bought a nice, used leather jacket online; the ad said it was silver but when I got it, it was definitely more of a dark gold which I was not happy about. I found this leather paint and decided to give it a try and I’m so glad that I did!!.As you can see from the pictures, the half I have painted is a gorgeous sterling silver! The leather I am painting is extremely porous and didn’t need to have any finish removed. I have been using a small, soft paintbrush, using a very thin layer of paint, and working in small sections. It dries extremely fast, but very smoothly and not patchy at all. After finishing the first half, I still have over half the bottle left, so a little is going a really long way. I’m planning to use Angelus Acrylic Finisher to give it a protective coating and just a little more shine. The paint is making the leather just a tiny bit stiffer, but it was extremely pliable sheepskin to start so I actually welcome a bit of stiffening in the leather..I am absolutely thrilled with this product so far. I will only update this review if I find that there are issues later on down the road so, no news is good news!

First of all, this pearlescent green is a BEAUTIFUL color and seems to dry very fast.All Angelus paints require prep, but I painted on a few different surfaces to test results:1. The first surface was black faux-leather shoes wiped thoroughly with acetone prior to paint. This required 4-6 coats to cover completely and hide brush strokes. This was not surprising, and once it was covered, it was amazing!2. The second surface was the same pair of black, faux-leather shoes but not prepped first. The results so far have been the same; my guess is that the difference will only be in how it stands up to multiple wears.3. The third surface I painted was a pair of “nude” shoes, prepped. This took 2-4 coats to hide brush strokes, and looks equally beautiful.4. The last surface I painted was a black, silicone phone case, not prepped in any way. The color is vibrant after only 3 coats and stokes are invisible.Overall, Angelus is a fantastic brand. This pearlescent formula falls in viscosity somewhere between the Angelus regular formula and the Angelus neon, for ease of application. It pours more similarly to the neon, but appears opaque in fewer coats like the regular.If you are thinking about getting this, do it! The color is maybe a bit more vibrant in person than online, but very close to the pictures. And like I said, it dries very quickly; I have been able to apply subsequent coats in one day.When my projects are complete, I will be covering some parts with Angelus #600 sealer as well for comparison, though I have found this unnecessary in the past.

I always go to Angelus for my leather paint needs. This is no exception. Smooth, vibrant color that dries with a flexible durable finish. I love the pearlescent version of their colors. Haven't had any complaints. These also mix with other colors well.

It’s a great color and worked for what I needed it to but I wish it has a brush like the normal angle paints. Great pigment though, you only have to do like 3 coats.

I bought this product to try to resurrect an old pair of Coach sandals.They were going in the trash as they looked old and tarnished!Angelus leather paint saved them!They look great....good for another few Summers! 🎉Love this product! So easy to use. Thank you!

I only needed one coat to cover the strap and it shines really nice for the gold on my image. I painted on a very pores polyester material for the plate and cup image. I ended up swamping to an acrylic base then painting over with the metallic leather paint to give it the same shine as the strap.

I bought this product to color some faded Mephisto sandals that were still in good shape. I wasn't sure whether or not this product would be helpful for recurring my faded shoes.However I was surprised that this product is easy to use, covers very well and it does not require much product to coat one pair of shoes. I used the tiny brush that comes in the bottle, but using a bigger brush would make it easier.The bottle seems tiny but I still have at least half left after doing one pair of shoes.

Funciona perfectamente para pintar piel, el color no es tan brilloso, pero es muy lindo. Dorado.
