They look great and they are well made
I ordered one cap to see how they looked on my deck and check out the product. Short review, I ordered 16 more. These caps are well made and fit well. The caps are heavy duty aluminum. Coating looks to be very good. These caps are much better than the plastic caps I looked at in the big box stores. I ordered the caps to fit a normal treated 6 x 6 which is really about 5.5 x 5.5. The caps drops in place. Use the two provide screws to hold it in place. We ordered the Copper colored caps. These caps will top of my new deck very nicely.

Adds weather protection and class
For just a $1 or so more than the plastic version's they sell, I went for the Aluminum. They look good. I am remodeling my deck that had no caps originally, so it was tricky to cut over the excess post height to match other sections. These caps however install very easily (2 screws). I would find a drill size small than the screw to pre-drill. That should help avoid cracking/busting/stripping your posts.

Measure the post
This was apparently supposed to be a two-piece design that would fit nominal 6x6 posts of different actual dimensions, but it's only one piece and it's too small for the post. I'm going to have to trim the top of the post to get it to fit. Also, while it says "copper," the color is actually more of a bronze. It's not bright like copper. It is very thick, so it looks like it will be pretty durable, but I'm not sure how the color will last once it's outside in the elements for a while.

Heavy-duty and attractive but slow delivery
These are heavy-duty and attractive. The color is a burnished copper, with a glossy overcoat of some protective finish. I just installed it yesterday. If it does well over the winter I will buy more for the rest of my porch posts. I gave only four stars because they are very pricey for what you get, and because, despite being "prime eligible", it took a week to get here and according to Amazon that is expected for these post caps ... so why make it "prime?"

Usability testing short of expectations
The apron could be longer. Installing it on a granite post could be a challenge. Granite posts are not flat at the top and slightly longer apron or a stainless bracket would help with installation. Usability testing before manufacturing is the key.2017 update. Glad to see the apron is longer. It is the good news for customers with stone/granite posts. Waiting for an upgrade in a form of a bracket. It would allow to fasten the cap and use rivets to install it properly and professionally. Otherwise we only rely on gravity forces and no significant wind. Short term solution.

Perfectly represented! Delivered with lightning speed...
I capped 8 cement pillars on our front porch and the caps work beautifully. My concern prior to arrival was proper fitment. They came in as a true 8X8 as indicated and look beautiful. Other aluminum products that resemble this product are thinner and flimsier. The Atlanta caps are rigid and substantial with a beautiful finish. I trust they will last for years to come. The delivery made my day and I would recommend this company to anyone. I will be back!, Thanks David

These are painted a copper color
These are not actual copper. They are sturdy and fit a typical 4x4 post with about an 1/8th inch space all the way around. They look good but won't patina because they aren't actually copper.

This runs small. Doesn't fit.
I bought this for a standard 4x4 post. It's too small. I realize 4x4's are smaller than what they say they are, but they didn't have to make this cap so much smaller. I will have to file down the post to make it work. Ridiculous.
