Urban Beatz Travel Mount

This is the second one of these I've purchased. The first one was for my wife and the second, being for business. The instructions are very inadequate. The reason that I purchased it was to use as a windshield mount, yet I don't see how this is an option. The rubber suction ring has an adhesive on it, like it's designed to only be permanently mounted in the vehicle or on one of those dash discs. I've places 5 calls to the company and have received a voicemail every time. I wrote an email yesterday and if I do not receive an answer by today, I will be returning it tomorrow!! The sad thing is that I love everything else about it.

Good suction to window but sometimes the phone falls out if accelerate quickly.

Like someone else said, ignore the reviews complaining about the adhesive. I too am puzzled as to why the company put an adhesive pad on a suction cup, but if you peel the adhesive off the suction cup and clean it off with a goo-gone type product you can use it as just a normal suction cup on a windshield. If you want to permanently mount the thing, then leave the adhesive pad on there.I love how fully adjustable this thing is! Suits almost any size phone (except probably the extra large plus sized phones coming out nowadays) and adjusts in multiple axes to end up where you want it. I haven't had any problems with my phone falling out of this thing ever, and I've had it for two years. My only complaint is that the construction feels slightly on the cheap side, and there is just a slight amount of play in each of the joints. The spring loaded width adjustment wears out after a while, but all that means is you have to pull the sides out rather than expecting them to slide out on their own. Doesn't really affect the functionality of the device, the arms lock in place all the same.For the price, I'd like to see some sturdier plastic, and keep the adhesive pad separate... let the customer decide whether to put it on the suction cup or not! But two years on, I still use it every day. I have it adjusted exactly the way I want it, and it holds my phone just fine!

Great product. I've had it for over 3 years and it hasn't budged from the original spot. The suction works very well. It's like a sticky stickum glove, doesn't leave a residue. Doesn't feel like the super sturdy but then again you're just mounting it in a stationary position. Does the job for its price point.

I bought this item from Marshall's when out shopping one day. It is a great looking device but the suction cup is completely USELESS. If you want to mount this in ONE place and leave it there for the life of the car then you'd be OK. There appears to be an adhesive on the rubber suction cup just like what another poster had discovered. When contacting the company through email about 5 days later I get a response to send a photo because it sounds like a defective unit. Yeah right! I don't think so!You can Chalk this one off the list and look for something else that really works.

I was very happy with this until this past couple of weeks. When the temperature went up over 85 the suction cup material got softer. To the point it could no longer support itself and the weight of my Galaxy S7. This is my second one. I like the design and flexibility of adjustment. My first one lasted several years. This one nowhere near as long. Ordered in 3/19 but didn't install until 2/20 in a new vehicle. The first one continued to work up to that point.

Like it. But it’s already broken.
