Lots of useful tips
This is a useful book for learning about the Microsoft Office Suite. I think there may be a few mistakes that were overlooked during the editing review. For example, in the second chapter, which deals with Excel, the paragraph explaining the numbering of worksheets mistakenly refers to the sheets as workbooks. Easy to overlook, a bit sloppy, but the reader will figure it out soon enough - that the sheets are worksheets.Otherwise, some good basic information that gets the user started, and then tips for people who are already familiar with the products.

I use Word and I don't handle all its tools. I'm trying to use Excel to keep an eye on my home finances, but just the basic. So, I decided to get this book to learn how to master the office package. The best part: it is easy to follow, and the graphics help for a better understanding.

The power of Office!
So many great programs! I use most of these at work and a lot of people do, Microsoft has been around and doing programs like this for a very long time. There is always more to learn and I really enjoyed reading this even though it would bore most people. Just when you think you have a firm grasp on your knowledge of these programs, you learn new stuff. This book is very easy to understand which is great for people who aren't "tech savvy". It is organized well and the pictures are great, I am much more of a visual learner.

I liked how well the book is explained, it helped me learn to use the Microsoft word program properly, I learned to create documents from scratch, edit the titles, and save files, the practical exercises seemed quite easy to understand and very precise.

Not very useful
Most of the pictures/illustrations are almost impossible to see. The chapter about Outlook is the worst, how can some lengthy writing about how long it’s been around be of any use for someone who wants to understand and use it?The quality of the writing is below of what is expected of first year undergraduates. I am mystified by the amount of positive reviews!
