I normally buy a 15-metre washing line for about £2.50-£3, and keep one spare, as with a wire pulley, they tend to snap, even the ones with a metal core. This is far superior, stronger and heavier than supermarket versions, but who needs 60m? It's a lot of money to lay out on a cord that will need to be cut and stored.I can't dispute the quality but it's a bit too expensive to buy and store.

To describe my part of the world as windy would be a total understatement. Such is the force of the gales that it is not unusual for a whole line of washing to end up in a neighbour's field. Some washing has vanished forever, never to be seen again. It is also sufficiently versatile for other uses like rigging outside lights or securing loose objects.I am very pleased with this new, hopefully 'gale-defying' clothes line and look forward to putting it to the test.

The line did what you would expect a line to do for a while.But then it snapped.About 6 inches from one end, so not where it was curled round the anchor point.I would expect a longer life.Maybe I expect too much....
