What stores carry this litter? i had someone give me this and i was amazed. no nasty box smell.  now i can't find it at all locally.

You can find the 15lb bag far cheaper at Price Chopper here in New York.  Even on Instacart it is only $11.59 and that is including Instacart's markup.  When it comes to purchasing heavier items on Amazon, it really doesn't matter if you're a Prime member or otherwise, they really mark up the price because of the shipping.  It is outrageous, and I would really have to be hard-pressed to buy something like this on Amazon.  I would think you might even find a better deal on Chewy or PetSmart as well.  But your best bet would to shop in town, at your grocery store.  If you have Instacart in your area, you can actually check all the stores they use to see if any carry it.

It is produced in the USA but the source of the wood is not apparent on the packaging.

Is it powdery? My cat has a sinus issue (rescue that has feline hurpies that causes lots of sneazing) I worry about dust making it worse.

I wouldn't say it's powdery compared to clay litter which is very powdery and can puff powder in your face when pouring or stirring. It is, however, sawdust, and therefore does have some fine particles. The cedar scent is very light. My only grumble is its tracking factor. I wish it were a bit more granulated like small pellets. I think I'll buy a mat to put under my box entrance. BTW, I use a scoop with very fine slots to scoop out the wet litter since it doesn't clump. I do this twice a day and it works well. If I didn't clean it that often, the wet sawdust would dry and I'd have to change out the box of litter sooner due to odor buildup.

I have bought this item locally and never has a bag been described as  "50 Liters".  Liters is a liquid measurement. What weight is this bag in pounds

According to the Product Information this 50 Liter bag weighs in at 15.7 pounds.  Guessing price may have gone up due to Covid & shipping costs...
