When your dog tends to chew, bite, or pull on the leash, you'll need a new leash...or 2 or 3 or 10. Last Leash puts other "heavy duty" leashes to shame. With a comfort grip handle, smooth action metal snaps, coated steel cable, and a detachable handle (Adjustable model only) to adjust the length, you'll be ready for any dog in any situation. Walking, running, hiking, biking, crossing traffic...no problem. This may be the last leash you'll ever need to buy!

The bite proof leash that solves all my problems.
My Australian cattle dog bites through leashes when excited. She doesn't chew them, she just snaps them in one brief chomp. I greatly prefer light, thin leashes, so wide leather, nylon, or a chain wasn't going to work. I already had a steel cable leash from a different company, and was looking to buy another when I spotted this one. The Last Leash was clearly designed by people that actually used the product, because they have solved every single problem I've had with a cable leash. The handle is padded and comfortable to hold either directly in my hand, or wrapped around my wrist. What if I don't want to be 6' away from my dog? The handle can be moved to two different spots on the leash, or even snapped directly to my dog's collar. The width of the cable prevents it from kinking or wrapping uncomfortably around my dog's legs, while remaining ultralight. It's also wide enough to grab comfortably anywhere along its length, and grippy enough to hang on if I really need to. I bought the pink leash, and it has remained bright and colorful despite two months of daily use on a sheep ranch. I got a reinforced handle with mine, and the foam is a bit thicker with an added inner core to keep the cable from pulling through it. My original handle is still in great shape though, despite literally being dragged through the desert and left in the sun all day. This is now our primary everyday leash.

Chicken-Chasing Dog Trainer!
I have found an unusual use for this handy leash! It snaps perfectly around my waist allowing me to walk my chihuahua/min pin/Tasmanian devil mixed breed puppy near the chickens to make corrections whenever he lunges at one of my feathered pets! I have 33 hens and roos & was at a loss trying to acclimate this new pup to the yard without constant chasing and snapping. The leash keeps him secure and close enough for proper training/control. He has already chewed through two new nylon retractable leashes (one heavy duty for a large dog!), as well as put two holes in my walls, chewed multiple scatter rugs to smithereens, bit through a laptop cord, and ruined many shoes! He raises such a ruckus in the crate, I have decided to use this leash as a "roaming crate", hooked around my waist until he alerts it's time for a potty break! And, he can't chew through! We are joined at the hip (literally), my pup, this leash, and me!

The solution for our adorable leash cutter...
Our adorable little pup has managed to chew thru various leashes 4 times and twice very quickly and while we were right next to her, just having our attention distracted momentarily. She chews thru these sturdy leather and nylon leashes like she's using scissors... that's how clean the cut is in the material. So, we found this and it is just what we need. We love that she will never be able to chew through the steel cable and so far she has not even made a nick in the plastic covering the cable. It's also great that it's adjustable so it's easy to keep her close in crowded areas but still have the ability to give her more freedom when the situation is right. Very nice quality. We expect this will last a long, long time!

A leash she cannot chew through!
For starters let me put this as a disclaimer: "I bought this leash at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review."Having said that, I have a one year old black lab that has chewed through every leash we have ever bought (and there have been many-- including a very expensive leather leash recommended by my dog trainer). This dog chews everything, but she has not (yet) chewed through this cable leash. It works even better when attached to a body harness (because she has a harder time getting it in her mouth!). This leash is everything they said it would be and more. My only complaint is the description said various colors, but I was only able to pick hot pink. I have a female dog, so I thought what the heck, but the leash does not match her lime green collar. But overall, I am VERY satisfied with this leash.

4.5 Stars. The last leash you need!
Four and a half stars.I have a Labrador. It chews everything. We have been through 3 "replace even if chewed" leashes. Countless nylon and other rope leashes. She chewed through 2 body harnesses, a baby gate and a cloth portable dog crate. She loves to chew. I could not find any 6 ft pieces of coated steel cable in stores and no one makes a leash like this.I give it four and 1/2 stars. The company is very clear that they will make you satisfied with their product, but the two things I have an issue with are design flaws that might just be personal to me.Pros:The handle is very comfortable. We are training the puppy but she still pulls. A cable leash would be very hard to hold on to without a good handle. The handle is also removable so you can shorten the leash with the built in loops. I find it useful so that I can clip the dog to things for a moment without leaving the padded handle for her to chew on.She cannot chew through it. I know that she can't hurt it, and she has tried. The clip for connecting to her leash is unique. It is very strong and holds her to the leash.ConsOne: the leash has loops built in so that you can shorten the leash. The problem I have ( and this may be just that I haven't used leashes that can be shortened before), is that when I shorten the leash I have this ungangly loop of leash that just bounces and hangs between me and the dog. Again, this maybe an issue with all adjustable leashes that I am not aware of.Two: each loop that you use to adjust the leash length is strong and secure. They do not move. But they are covered in black plastic to cover the metal connector edges and make the leash look better. Once my dog chewed those plastic covers off it left exposed metal. When the dog wraps the leash around my leg the metal can scrape. There is nothing that I can think of that they could do to correct this, but it is an issue for me and that is why I gave it only 4.5 stars.Overall I am very satisfied with it. I would recommend this to any of my friends without hesitation. One disclaimer, I was given a very small discount for writing this, but the discount was regardless of the rating and this is my honest and unbiased opinion. If you have a dog that chews leashes, then this is the leash for you and probably will be the last leash you will ever need.
