Vendor Has Stopped Manufacturing
The Barrel House Cooker (BHC) company was bought out months ago by a competitor and shut down. The cookers being offered here are what's left of warehouse inventory. You will not be able to purchase spare or replacement parts and it's iffy if a warranty will be honored. If you contact BHC about this they'll respond by simply saying "manufacturing has ceased" without explaining why. So beware buying this smoker. The company no longer exists and they're simply dumping remaining warehouse inventory off on unsuspecting Amazon buyers. Update: CEO of company called me at my home to threaten me with a lawsuit. In all the years I've purchased products over Amazon this is a first. At any rate, I stand by my original review of the product and company.

Amazing Smoker!!
I don't write many of these but i had to. I got this a couple of weeks ago as an early birthday present to myself. I was using an offset smoker for a couple of years and it just wasn't doing what i wanted. Temp control was horrible and i was fed up.I did some research and decided to give this a try. I was not disappointed! Assembly was easy and took about 20mins. Did a dry run and hooked up my wireless thermometers to monitor it. The smoker was very stable even after 5+ hrs at around 280.I tested after that with a whole chicken. It came out perfect in 3hrs. The smoker was still going strong so i switched to the grate and cooked a big pack of whole wings. 1 1/2hrs later it was done perfectly. It holds and regulates heat so well it was still going strong with no changes to anything. Wood chunks were added and not soaked in water. After I was done there was wood still left which never happened to me before.Since then I've done a rack of ribs and full grate of sausages in the same session . Last night a pork shoulder in 10hrs flat all done to perfection. No fiddling with vents or patching holes for heat loss. This smoker just works! For the shoulder, I added extra fuel to make sure and to increase the heat to get out of the stall. Cracked the lid to kick start the new coals and opened the vent slightly to a position in between my elevation setting. Finished it off at 360 for about 4hrs. The easiest time I've ever had. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to start or who's a pro.

Charcoal handling is great - super smoker/cooker!
I had a Pit Barrel Cooker for several years but when I moved I could not fit it in my truck so gave it away. It was such a fantastic product, I really missed it, so after about 18 months without one I decided to replace it. While looking for one I discovered this Barrel House cooker, read about the lawsuit between them and PBC, and read a few reviews. I like to support veteran-owned businesses, but then discovered Noah Glanville, the veteran who started PBC, bought this company as well. Rumors that they have been discontinued are false, reviewers who have reported that are wrong (or the situation changed), they are still making and selling these. The first thing I noticed are the similarities--this is an unboxing and setup review, not a cook review. But after years of experience with the PBC, and seeing the YouTube reviews I can assure you this thing will operate the exact same way, the principles of operation are identical. Two things swayed me, the price and the charcoal handling. This unit is the same size and design as the PBC, and appears to be of the same level of quality, but was $60 cheaper. And while some folks don't like the charcoal cleanup in this cooker, I can tell you that even with the accessory ashpan on the PBC that was no joy to clean either. I will do a long-term review at the end of the season, but for now, I'll list the pros and cons of this cooker.Pros-Price: I got this, plus 8 extra hooks (I double hook ribs) for about $50 less than the PBC.-Charcoal handling: My only complaint with the PBC was the burn. Because the vent is on one side of the PBC, and because the meat drips into the coals, it was usually necessary to rotate the charcoal basket 180 degrees in the middle of the cook. The side near the vent would frequently burn out and the side away from the vent would die down a lot. On the BHC, the air vent is in the middle directly below the coals, so no rotation should be necessary and it should burn more evenly.ConsThey don't make a half grate for the BHC. I used the half grate a lot in the PBC doing ribs and chicken or roasts together. Hopefully, BHC will release a half grate accessory that can work with their H-hanger.That's it! I believe, and virtually all cook reviewers confirm that you'll get identical results from either cooker. I feel good that I am supporting the inventor of the concept and a veteran. For my money, if you are shopping for one of these, I'd get the BHC, the vent/coal burning thing is a meaningful difference, IMO.One minor nit, they forgot to include the nuts that hold the feet on in my package, but I'm actually happy about that. For less than a dollar, I got some of those locking nuts with the nylon locking material in them at Lowes so they will never back off. Otherwise, manufactured and packed very well.Edit: I did my first cook last night, 3 racks of ribs and two whole chickens, split. Excellent results! I was right, the coals burned evenly because of the venting, and temp control was a breeze. This is very steady. Temp control in the PBC was not quite as good, because the dripping on the side away from the vent would make the temperature drop until you rotated the basket and got it burning again. IMO, the venting of the coals in the BHC is a meaningful improvement over the PBC single vent design, although I would enthusiastically recommend both cookers. It was easy to maintain temps with very slight and infrequent adjustments of the BHC vent handle. I haven't had my PBC for almost two years, but my sense is that the coal basket is a very little bit smaller on the BHC, but after the cook was done, I kept checking it and it kept cooking temps for 6 full hours before it began to drop. Some have complained about cleanup in the BHC, but because the barrel comes off I find it easy to dump the ash in a large trash bag, and use a plastic spackle knife to scrape/clean the burner pan. I am a big fan of this cooker.

Nice M/T for the price and very quite
Mounted these on a 2019 Colorado ZR2. I can not believe how quiet these are. I honestly think they're quieter than the OEM Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs. Couple photos for comparison between the OEM 265/65/17 and the 305/70-17 road ones. Time will tell how well they'll wear but the price can't be beat. The company selling these is a pleasure to deal with as well. I had a problem with FedEx getting these delivered and they resolved it in a timely manner.

Excellent bag
I'm using this for Arkham Horror LCG to put the chaos tokens in. The bag itself is extremely well made and it being reversible is even more value added. The cathulu logo is on the inside and outside in their respective opposite colors. My only issue with this is that the logo is silk screened on rather than stitched so eventually it will start to crack and flake off but it doesn't take away from the quality of the bag for me.

Quality sack
I love this. It holds all of my dice, cards, and other items needed for dnd. I can just grab this and go which is nice. I like that it sits flat and has a wide opening. Fabric is quality and it’s very durable. It is also reversible which is awesome because it’s basically two bags in one. I would recommend this to others.
