So nice and soft
The mochi with red bean paste was absolutely delicious! The mochi was very soft and chewy; exactly what I look for eating a daifuku. Yummy!

Addictive!
This is the best brand of mochi I've found on Amazon, and i buy it regularly! These remind me of a cross between jello and sweet rice flour! That may sound odd, but with the sweet bean taste inside, they are yummy! This brand is less sticky to each other, packed better than the smaller box. It took me awhile but not ling, to get used to this treat since i was accustomed to the bake variety. I understand now why the Japanese love these so much! It is like eating cookie dough with jam inside the center! Yummy for any time of day and easy on the stomach. I freeze them sometimes to make them firmer, depends what i feel like. Always take tiny bites and chew thoroughly! For older persons if you gobble it it can stick too much! A great snack! I love sweet rice flour.

Pretty good
It wasn’t the softest and the flavor was pretty good.

Traditional and delicious
If you are looking for traditional Japanese mochi without overly sweet marshmallow or jelly fillings, these are for you. The filling is mochi paste so they are naturally sweet without being sugary. The cakes are large so you get a good value.

Ummm
The paste wasn't completely a paste, every single piece had some hard shell from the beans ungrounded, which made the texture really uncomfortable. At first I thought there was plastic in the red bean paste. It was still edible, but mad uncomfortable to eat. I'm guessing there is inconsistencies with this food as the other reviews all had different experiences, so I hope anyone else who buys this good luck, you might need it.

Delicious! Stupendous! Soft, chewy, and oh so good
The title says it all, y'all. I was half expecting dry, ruined mochi but thought - oh to heck with it. I was not disappointed! This was the softest mochi I have ever had. It was chewy and the red beans were sweetened just enough. This was such a treat and I am so happy I got to have some! I will be ordering again soon!

WARNING: Almost choked on a sharp piece of plastic found inside the mochi.
I never thought I'd be writing a review like this. I've literally never had this happen to me before... but after taking my first bite of mochi and swallowing, I felt a sharp pain in my throat and realized there was something else that had been inside of the mochi. I was terrified because I couldn't get it out... it's been a long time since I've felt pure panic like this. I didn't want it to go further and cut my throat/esophagus the more it went down. I spent a few minutes trying to get it out of my throat, trying to make sure it didn't slide down too far, and I ended up throwing up. When it finally came up, I realized it was a sharp piece of plastic that actually cut my throat. I literally have scratches in my throat. The pain is bad and it feels like I have strep throat. I'm still in shock writing this. This was probably one of the WORST experiences I've ever had when it comes to food, and I always try to be understanding of why it might have happened... but this was painful AND ridiculous. At first, I thought the plastic might have broken off from the container it came in, which would have been understandable... but there were no broken pieces anywhere. It was INSIDE the actual mochi itself and had obviously come from the red bean paste, because there was nothing on the outside of the mochi when I'd looked at it.I shouldn't have to be scared that I'm going to have my throat sliced open when I eat something... the place these are being made in obviously needs better quality control, as this wasn't even the only issue with them. The red beans inside the paste were also hard, almost as if they'd either been left out or not cooked completely. Obviously they're stale, and the seller is selling them anyways. I will NEVER buy these again...At this point, I don't even want my money back. Nothing would make me happy, or make my change my review because I want people to be warned that this happened.PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT BUY THESE.
