Didn't like the consistency or the bland flavor. Did not taste at all like sweet potatoes either.

Absolutely Delicious
I tried this based on another reviewer who stated they she did not like sweet potatoes, but loved this salsa. I have always wanted to enjoy them for the nutritional benefits, but never liked the sweetness. This product is delicious, and very much on the savory end of the spectrum. I bought the spicy Mexican variety. If you want to eat more veggies, just dip them in this stuff, and you might yourself munching on them a lot more than you anticipate. I absolutely adore this with veggies, and will be treating myself to this product occasionally. I would absolutely love to see this product in my local market.

"Yammy" is NOT "Yummy!"
While the seller is conscientious and I received the order promptly, I was grossly disappointed in the salsa. Initially the product description sounded wonderful; I couldn't wait to try it. BUT when I opened the jar, the stuff had an off putting color (to say the least) and its consistency reminds one of vomit. SORRY, but this is a zero.

YUMMY SWEET POTATO SALSA
Sweet potatoes are great, and salsa is great, so I gave it a shot -- YUM YUM!! I love these with Simply 7 Quinoa chips - healthy, low calorie and low fat. Lovely spicing. Different and delicious!!

Bought three of their favors I have to say all 3 were good, but the Mexican is my favorite!

Not your average salsa
I loved the depth of flavor in the Mexican salsa. Chipotle and black bean are a classic combination and great on tortilla chips. This would be fantastic on nachos or in a quesadilla. I thought I was getting the medium strength so when I realized it was hot I was a little nervous. It was still great. My kids wouldn't try it because it was hot, but had I received the mild or medium version of the salsa I know at least my oldest would have devoured it with me.

Delicious, but hard to define flavor profile
When this arrived as a review sample I put off tasting it until I had the time and occasion. My first test was plain. I had a hard time separating the flavor profile components. Sour seems to dominate, but with good reason. Lime juice is one of the main ingredients, and is backed with citric acid. The ginger seems to accentuate the tang. Piquant seems to come in a close second. While this is mild, some folks may find it a bit spicy. Salty ranks third, with savory and a ever-so-slight hint of sweet. This salsa needs to be stirred because if it sits it separates. I tried it over a piece of grilled haddock wrapped in a flour tortilla with cilantro and chopped tomatoes and minced onion. It would not compete with authentic Baja California recipes, but it was not intended to. This stands on its own as an interesting flavor that may not be traditional, but is delicious.Nutritionally this is low calorie and comes in at a scant 25 calories per two tablespoon serving. When you consider that mist salsas and sauces are single tablespoon servings, this is - in essence a 12.5 calorie salsa when compared to those. I love the fact that the fat and cholesterol are zero. Sodium is a bit on the high side at 140mg (or 70 if you compare it to single tablespoon servings of other salsas). And carbs are only 1 gram.Overall this is a great salsa that is healthy without compromising flavor. Like the other two salsas offered by this brand, the flavor is not exactly traditional, but seems to go well with a variety of foods.
