Excellent product

This edger isn't short lightweight, m due to the battery pack- but I don't think it's anything that would be a struggle to operate. The battery lasts a decent amount of time, the transitions that can be made with the shield as easy as I think should be, it gets stuck, m it won't move, etc. And I feel like the cord that came with it doesn't last long at all,, it fits an okay job at trimming, I feel like I do have to spend time on each section, much longer than I would like.

About four months ago, I was offered a free Apollo Smart Cordless Electric 2-in-1 Lawn Mower Edger Tool String Grass Trimmer for review via the Amazon Vine Program, and I accepted.I've needed a cordless trimmer for some time as my lawn always grows too far over my concrete path and path stones, leaving messy looking, ragged edges that a mower alone just can't trim. This Apollo Smart cordless did a great job creating a very sharp edge on the concrete path and trimmed the overgrowth over the path stones in just minutes. It's very easy to handle and maneuver as it weighs less than 4.5 pounds with it's battery attached! In fact, it weighed in at 4.442 lbs on my digital scale with it's battery attached. Yet, it doesn't feel flimsy or fragile. It's very cool in that it easily transforms from an edger to a trimmer with just a few adjustments. The battery lasts for a very long time. Long enough that it never ran out of power on me, or was even close to, once.Overall, this is a great, lightweight lawn edger/grass trimmer. At this price, it's a steal.

I received this item free as an Amazon Vine reviewer and this is my honest review. I only request items I will actually use, and use I do, prior to writing a review.I have a large yard and have used a landscape service for years. I enjoy not having to mow my grass, weed eat and trim my bushes. But on occasion I need to do a quick touch up somewhere the landscape crew misses.I gave up my gas-powered weed eater years ago because, for occasional use, storing, maintaining and fueling a gas-powered lawn trimmer just does not make sense. Neither does dragging out a 100-foot extension cord to use an electric trimmer just for a quick touchup. This 20V cordless weed eater and edger looked to be a good got to lawn tool for this use.This tool is light, very light, and easy to maneuver. I like the fact that you can adjust the height of the shaft, making this tool easy to use and easier to store. The battery charged quickly and seems to provide a decent amount of runtime (I averaged about 20-30 minutes with constant use). I will try to not compare this trimmer to it’s gas, or plug in electric, counterparts as it is neither. Yes, it feels and acts as a light duty string trimmer and edger. Yes, there is just one cutting string emanating from the spool that holds a small about of cutting string. Yes this unit lacks the power to cut through 2-foot high weeds and grass or allow trimming a 1 acre lot. But, if you need a tool that will basically “start up” whenever needed (provided the battery is charged) and can take care of light duty and/or a quick touch up while not breaking your back in the process, this trimmer will do just fine.It is NOT gas like performance as the product listing indicates, but it is very light weight, quiet and easy to maneuver. Will it replace your gas trimmer? Probably not. But if you have a small yard or just need a trimmer for occasional use, this one should work fine.As I do at the end of all my reviews, I ask myself if I would actually purchase this item. For my needs, yes, I would buy this.
