I was skeptical about this at first. But this has been life changing for my mini Schnauzer. He barks at anything that sounds like a knock, when ours kids are too loud, when the kids run, when people come over, etc. It had become an all day thing from his 'alarm' barking.I put this on him while we had company. Normally he would bark anytime they spoke too loud. Within a few seconds he was barking and it was going off. He quietened right away. He tried a few more times while they were here and then eventually decided to just go sit with them instead. That has NEVER happened. We were actually able to enjoy our visit with them while he was out and didn't have to be crated. It's just been a few days but we're loving it.The Battery:The one that it comes with is just your standard generic battery that comes with most items these days. It's listed as 4LR44 which is almost impossible to find locally and the reviews were mixed on Amazon. Instead, pick up a 28L battery. It's stronger/better and made by the black and gold national brand. It works much better and lasts way longer

So I have three idiot dogs...yes I called them idiots. I love them with all my heart, but good grief they bark at anything and everything. My mastiff leads them in barking at nothing. She likes to lay on the couch in such a way that she can look out the window, so she can then bark at leaves blowing in the wind, the random squirrel who is minding its own business or who knows what. My daughters two dogs who are little ankle biters (min-pin, jack russel) will then run around and bark at absolutely nothing just because the other dog is barking. I’m sure you get my point. It’s all day, everyday. But I wasn’t looking to shock them. So this was an affordable option for me to try. And it worked! These things pick up the barking and beep a nice loud beep. Which absolutely didn’t faze any of my idiots. But upon continuing, the vibration made all of them stop immediately and look around. I’m assuming they are trying to figure out what I’m the heck is going on and what was vibrating on them. But it’s enough of a distraction that they stop. Amazing!! My house has been quiet for a couple of days now and I’m beyond grateful! Hopefully it keeps up.

We own two small rescue dogs that were becoming increasingly yappy - barking at other dogs, house noises at night, etc. etc. We purchased these collars, but didn't have great expectations. We left the collars set to their default settings and saw immediate results. After one week, our dogs will now walk around the neighborhood on-leash and behave when they see other dogs. Barking at night has ceased. Every day or so they will forget, but are quickly reminded on the first bark. Awesome product and excellent value. Worth twice the price.Good:: Inexpensive, easy to operate, effective, humane (vibrates, doesn't shock)Bad: Need to remove battery when not in use or battery will drain, occasional "false alarm" from loud noises such as loud thunder, some dogs will be stressed by the correction, but eventually get used to it. We had one who shook for a while and one who didn'tTip: You must leave it on your dog for a week or more before removing or they will quickly revert to old behavior

OMG! I bet my neighbors are happy! So very nice to sit outside and not have these 2 bark and carry on at the gate. The lab is 120 lbs and the golden 90 pounds. I have tried no bark collars before and my dogs yelped in pain. But whatever happens, they only look confused. There is no set up other than installing the battery. THANK YOU THANK YOU!

I really didn't think this would work to curb my dog's incessant barking. Boy was I wrong! This collar beeps and vibrates when the dog barks (versus delivering a shock) and my dog really doesn't care for the beeping sound and very quickly learned to associate it with his bark and has stopped barking when the collar is on. We have the sensitivity set to the lowest setting now (5 weeks later) and just placing the collar on him triggers him not to bark.For reference, our dog is 55lbs and has really short hair. This collar has plenty of room to expand for a larger dog and would also work well for smaller dogs (although, I doubt it would fit well on a tiny/toy breed).The reason I knocked off one star is the collar tends to slip/loosen as it's worn. This causes the sensors to move away from the dogs fur. This doesn't matter in our case because our dog is conditioned now to know the collar means no barking and doesn't really need the beep/vibrate all the time. It also might be a function of our dog's fur - it's very short and slick so there is nothing for the sensors to hold onto.

This collar worked excellent on our small dog. Just had to put it on once or twice and now all we have say when he barks is to stop barking or he gets the collar and he looks at us and stops. We have a papichon breed and he learns things very quickly so may not work that fast on other dogs. But must say we are very happy with the product. Would recommend.

I don’t do a product review for most things I buy on Amazon, but I really felt that I should for this product. My standard poodle barks too much. I tried a shock collar on him a few years ago and it malfunctioned and we had a terrible experience. This no shock collar doesn’t hurt my dog, and it actually works! Very pleased with it!
