24W 12V 2A Charger Adapter for Microsoft Windows Surface RT Surface 2 Surface Pro 1 Pro 2 1512 1514 1536 Laptop Tablet Power Supply

I have a Surface Pro 1 from 2013. My charger went out (a replacement from another manufacturer that I bought last year to replace my original charger) and I wanted an inexpensive replacement since it was my second time around.When I opened up the package, the brick itself had peel-off coating plastic on it and seemed new, but the plug part that detaches looked weirdly beat up. The cord itself was a little dirty, as though it had either been siting a while or had been repackaged. It seemed new enough though so I went for it.It plugged into the computer as expected. It doesn't create any of the weird screen waviness I experienced with two other similarly powered and priced adapters, which is great, though it is kind of sad that that is a pro and not a given.Initially Windows told me that my computer was "plugged in, not charging", though that seems to no longer be a problem. I imagine it might struggle when I'm stressing my machine, as it has a 12V-2A output as opposed to the 12V-3.6A of the OEM charger.It does get pretty warm while in use, though not outside the realm of other power bricks I've had.Something I absolutely love about this charger is that the charging indicator light is a stripe around the top of the attachment instead of the dot on the original. A very nice decision.Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase.

This plug is not reliable. There may be a safety issue with it. When I plugged it in for my computer the metal prong sparked and got burnt. I threw it away.

I like the fact that it came with two options, the long cord and the swapable plug. The cords are very long which is nice that it allows the AC plug to be far away. My only concern is it feels hot while in use.

In the picture it shows the smaller cord which should plug into the power cord. The power cord that was sent has no place to plug the cord into. It is not necessary to have since it does not work with anything they sent. The adapter is long enough to plug into the wall and work. The original Microsoft adapter had a slot that you could plug your phone into it to charge. If you need this capability, buy directly from Microsoft.

This charger is absolutely wonderful. The actual Microsoft charger is $25 and this was only $15. Plus, it has a 3ft extension as well as a travel bag. The indicator light is much better as it wraps around the top rather than being the tiny dot on top. Definitely, a great buy!

It’s working great so far. I’m using it with my original Surface Pro. When I first plugged it in my machine wasn’t indicating that it was charging. Since the brick is so small I though maybe I bought the wrong one, and would have to charge only when the machine was shutdown. I was wrong. In a matter of hours it was charging while the machine was on.

I have had this charger for a few months now and it works perfectly fine for my Surface Pro 2. I haven't had any issues with the product. It clips in with the magnets fine and does the charging. It comes with a carry bag that is nice to have.

I ordered my new charger in January of this year and already it is broken and not properly charging my tablet. I am used to chargers lasting me a year or two... having it break not even half a year in is very disappointing. I noticed it starting to tear a few months in hoping it would be sturdy enough to last me - unfortunately did not happen.
