Good quality, durability and power versatility with 25ft cable and 40 Amp abilities.
The media could not be loaded. This level 2 portable EV charger by Mcevkeln, is a solid, well-built choice in the expanding world of EV chargers. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality – This is good quality choice that I’d put in the upper-middle range of the quality scale, making me think it should last for a good amount of time, assuming the electronics hold up. The main charging cable is thicker, allowing for less heat and stress, when used for extended charging’s.II. Usability – It’s very easy to use, being a plug and play option, if you have a NEMA 14-50 plug. The main unit has a somewhat unique look, with a display that offers a great amount of data for you to monitor if desired. It doesn’t come with a holder to hang the main charging tip when not in use, like some. It’s very easy to choose amperage with a push of a button, to help you control your cars needs for juice. The included bag is very cheap and could use some improvements, but it works if you want to bring it with you.Overall, this is a very functional, well-built option that has been a pleasure to use and it gives me confidence that it should last. With there being so many choices in the emerging EV charger world, it really comes down to individual needs and desires. This one offers the ability to charge between 6A up to 40A allowing for pretty fast charging for home use. If you’re willing to spend the extra money, there are higher quality options that will essentially do the same thing, but just look better doing it. Also, some do offer 50A charging capabilities if your car can handle it, but most of these are hardwired to the panel. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.If you’d find it helpful to see an up-close visual inspection of this product, I recommend you watch my included video in full screen. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well it’s a video! You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

It's not hard to use, but it could at least come with some sort of instructions
This comes with zero instructions. None. Nothing. Like others have said, the only thing you really need to know is that you have to set it to the amperage you want before you plug it in. That's really all there is to it. Still, it would be nice if it came with something.I installed this at one of my rentals. For any landlords out there, EV people seem willing to pay extra to have a charger onsite. In other words, I do have a tenant with an EV. They have been using this to charge up for about a week now and they've had no issues. I didn't bother telling them how to use it, and they figured it out themselves. They said they are quite happy because they were using a level 1 charger before, and usually it wouldn't even get their car charged overnight, while this one always charges up their car in about 5 hours. They drive a Hyundai Ioniq 5. Keep in mind, my 14-50 outlet is actually 50 amps. A NEMA 14-50 outlet should be 50 amps, but check with your electrical box because shortcuts are sometimes taken. I've definitely seen 14-50 outlets attached to 30a breakers. Is that code? Probably not. Is your house up to code? Only if it's new (probably)! Also, if you do see a breaker than is below 50a attached to your 14-50 outlet, just go get an electrician. Don't go trying to simply replace the breaker. Chances are, nothing is installed correctly for 50a, and that's why it has a weaker breaker. It's not going to be super cheap to get things sorted, but installation of a 14-50 outlet from scratch is usually less than $500 unless it needs to be run extremely far from the box, so it shouldn't be horrible.Overall, I don't really have any complaints outside of the lack of instructions. The instructions would just be "Plug into outlet, set amperage, plug into car, wait," so it's not really that big of a deal.

Awesome
Whole lot of power, easy to install and use. Great for any electric vehicle, fast charging. I love that it came with a cartyihy case, so you can use it wherever you go. I have gotten the home installation ones, but appreciate this being portable.

Good charger
The charger works as expected, you just need to set the amperage before you start and that’s it. It’s well done, good quality and easy to use.

Saves You a Bundle Compared to Getting a Tesla Charger
Great option not only if you're charging an EV that works with a standard SAE J1772 home charging station, but a way to save money on an additional or replacement home Tesla charger. The whole thing is only $300 if you apply the $50 coupon check box that's on this product page, near the price (assuming they're still running the special when you see this). If you bought your Tesla new, it typically comes with an SAE J1772 charging adapter, to use with non-Tesla-compatible charging stations. If you bought used, or simply misplaced your charging adapter, MCEVKELN actually sells one for just $35 (the replacement on Tesla's main online store will set you back $50). In any case, you now have the flexibility of charging both SAE J1772 vehicles (basically everything BUT Tesla), and with the adapter you can charge your Tesla. Didn't have instructions, but the controls are pretty intuitive.

Nice Charger
Overall this is a nice charger with heavy cables and good quality ends. I like that it has a display so I can easily see what is going on at a glance.I have been using this for 2 weeks with no issues. I would buy again. 5 STARS

Seems Well Made
This seems like a pretty well made charger for a decent price. It doesn't come with instructions, but it's pretty straight forward, you don't really need any. Just remember that you need to make any setting changes before you plug it into your vehicle. Once it's plugged in, it locks the setting function. I find this to be standard on all the chargers I've tried so far (albeit that's only three) and I presume this is so no one can tamper with it.So far I am pleased with this charger but if I have anything else to report in the coming months you can bet I will be back to report!
