Where can I order a rubber washer/seal for this item?

I've just contacted Airlie for the same reason when I discovered the rubber washer was no longer sealing but I have now managed to fix it myself.  In my case repeated opening and closing had worn a little hole in the washer - which I find surprising but nothing lasts forever.  In my case 11 months.  To fix it get some needle nose pliers and unbend the split-pin that is holding the float valve into the black plastic housing.  Then pull the pin out and the white plastic float will come out.  What I see is a small stainless steel screw and washer holding in the thick black washer.  Above that I see a hole warn into the washer that lets water in continuously.  Unscrew the screw a little with the Philips head screwdriver and rotate the black washer 180-degrees.  Tighten the screw again but not too much - just enough to hold the washer in place.  When reinsert the float in the housing and rethread the split-pin.  Test your repaired Airlie in the pool and if working take it out again and bend out the split-pin so it won't fall out.  Note I also had an older version of this filler and the screw and washer had completely corroded - the newer one used stainless steel.  If you have an older model with that problem I suggest you either take a trip to the hardware to find a replacement screw and washer, or contact Airlie and ask them to send a replacement. My unit sprays/leaks a ton where hose connects to 90 adapter- bad seal?

I suspect you either have a bad or missing water hose gasket that fits inside the adapter.   Less likely is a damaged hose end that threads into the 90 degree connector.  If neither of those resolve the problem then try a different hose.

Why won’t it shut off water filling pool?

You either have a defective float valve in the unit or you don't have the water hose open sufficiently to generate enough flow so that the level in the pool never becomes high enough to shut off the float valve.
