After one month, we are using the carrier almost daily. Absolutely love it for short trails and brief shopping trips. Actually works well when baby is fussy. She immediately smiles and delights at going in the backpack. There must be something about the motion and the visibility, but our little princess looks like she happily rules the world when she’s riding.We are grandparents in our 60’s. Bought this backpack because it is very similar to one we used years ago with our children. We have used it for non-paved trails, at festivals, around the yard and at the produce market. There are times when a pack is much better than a stroller.PROSThe best part is how much our granddaughter loves it! She is almost six months, so we currently use a padded wrap-around insert (sold on Amazon) even though she is head secure. It fills in space around her and provides extra cushioning. The baby is always excited to ride on grandpa, loves the rhythmic walking motion, and she can see all around.I like the look of the pack and the cotton covering is breathable and not scratchy. Also, the sturdy kickstand is valuable when putting baby in and taking her out.CONSThe pack does not have sun/rain protection. The straps are fine for our baby, but some may find them not substantial enough. The padding and lumbar support for the wearer are not super duty. This is not to wear on long difficult hiking. Perfect for an hour and easy to switch to another person while leaving baby in her seat.This backpack is simple and was our first choice for our purposes after researching other options. We wanted the easy flexibility of a simple backpack and did not care about all the extras on the long haul models.

Same simple design of the prior generation of Gerry Baby pack I used for my babies in the 1970s and 80s, now improved for the lastest family member! The kickstand is a game changer for loading baby and donning the pack singlehanded. We just announced that Little Miss O has a brand new ride! Generously padded rails,frame and seat for baby and padded shoulder straps for mom makes it a comfortable ride for everyone. When laundry and house keeping and dinner still needs to be done you have baby riding high enough to take in the view, while safely away from the main action in front, while her mother prepares dinner. The only thing I think you can improve upon is perhaps adding a waist belt to come off at the bottom of the shoulder straps to buckle the bottom of the frame around your waist. The padded back frame already fits nicely, contouring to your back and the front chest buckle, across mom's shoulder straps assures that the pack won't shift off her shoulders when extending the full use of her arms or if baby gets rambunctious. A waist belt just seems the natural evolution to the design for extra security. Bright pastel ticking fabric design is cheerful while durable. Here my Grandaughter models it with her 7mo old daughter happy to oblige the passenger seat! While pricey at $219 I would definitely recommend this pack to all families with babies and suggest it as a baby gift registry item. It's sturdy enough to save for successive babies or to pass around to friends and family when it's their turn.

I don't often write reviews but when a product is this life changing I just felt inclined to. The reason I say this is life changing is because I have a very needy and clingy baby he needs to be held 24/7 even now a week short of 1 years old and almost walking he needs to be held. He usually only likes front facing carrier. I have tried every carrier that was designed for back carry to give my hands freedom to do chores but wither my baby hated it and I always found them so uncomfortable. There was so much thought put into this. From the kick stand for easy putting your baby in and you just push it back in when they are on your back to the shoulder straps for me and baby being so comfy. So much support for me and baby he has never allowed me to back carry him before and he let's me do it for hours now while I do chores. Also despite it being so supportive it still manages to be lightweight. Beautifully designed i just cannot say enough good things about it. Absolutely in love with this Carrier! Thank you for crafting a fantastic product!

I am a grandmother of 7, and counting, so I bought this because it reminded me of the no fuss carrier I used when my kids were young. Most carriers are too complicated. I love this carrier! I used it today for the second time as we visited the aquarium. The material at the seam of one of the straps is ripped in a place I won’t be able to repair. Perhaps it is just a random manufacturing defect because this carrier is great quality overall. My return window is closed because I bought this when the kids were just infants and today was the test on our outing. All the parents want to purchase one now because it was so convenient, but I am disappointed by the rip and if it gets worse I won’t be able to use this.

My 9 mo old loves this!! Though this carrier looks larger, it is extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear when my son (18 lbs) is strapped in. I bought this with the intention of using it for outside activities, but so far, I’ve mainly been using it around the house when my son is fussy and I need to get things done. He’s perfectly content walking around with me and watching everything I do. It gives him a different vantage point to observe from which keeps him occupied for a while! Worth every penny!!

Just like the old Gerry ones we used to use. Our busy 6 month granddaughter loves it. We'll made I only wish it had a removable sun screen somehow. Also bought an actual backpacking one but this one was lighter and less complicated

We love the simplicity of this extremely comfortable backpack. Our baby loves hanging out and going about our daily activities together. The straps are so easily adjusted, along with the pockets for extra necessities. This is a5 star backpack!
