Been waiting for something like this for a long time to charge my 7 year old MacBook Pro with modern power adapters. Exactly what I wanted. Hoping the cable doesn't fail as some other reviewer's have mentioned - if so will update rating and review. Fingers crossed!

I bought the SlimQ USB C Magnetic Adapter to use in conjunction with a 100 watt USB C charger after my Apple charging cable that was hardwired to the original Apple charger for my MacBook Pro failed. Rather than pay $$ for another hardwired Apple charger, I switched to a modular approach. Now I can replace the cable independently from the charger if either fail, AND since the 100 watt charger has 2 USB C and 2 USB A ports and can vary the power to each port I have a much more flexible and useful charging system. In 8 months of use (so far) the SlimQ charging cable has worked perfectly with my MacBook Pro and 100 watt charger, and does not show any signs of insulation cracking/failure in the cable. The fact that I can separate it from the charger to prevent significant cable bends probably helps (unlike the Apple cable that can't be separated from the charger brick).

With most of my devices going USB-C, it’s nice to have a cable for my MacBook Air that can use some of my charging bricks. Plugged it into a high power charging brick and it started charging and quickly brought it up to full. I always like having charging options.

and the only "but" really is that they are very sensitive to becoming useless if bent even slightly at either end. The cable wires must ground out or arc to one another when bent and can not be made to work again. I don't know if the individual wires are insulated from one another very well or not but assume not.So, if you use them like I do use them in places where you do not move the computer ever. But plug it in and use it and carefully unplug it and take it with you etc.

The "USB C Magnetic Adapter USB C to 2 T-Tip Cable Cord" version works perfectly. I tested a few different power sources, and any USB-C power source that supports 20v was able to power several different models.The unit looks like something Apple would have made with decent-quality hardware for both plugs. The cord does feel a little thin and remembers where you bend it, so I do worry a little about stress wear over the long term. This is why I knocked off a star. But at this price I decided to pick up a second just in case.

A lot of times these replacement cords will work great for a while but then suddenly stop working within a few weeks for whatever reason. I bought this one for my 13 inch Macbook Air and I've only had it a few days, but so far –– so good. I'll come back and update if that changes.

Was able to use this cable with my 2014 MacPro connecting to a newer MacPro 100W charger. This enables a quick swap out on my desktop between personal and work Macs. The USB-C plug is a little tighter and requires more pressure to plug into the brick, but works well upon initial use. Amber and green light woks as expected. Cable seems durable (a little stiffer than the Mac cables) and comes with a velcro wrapper to keep it organized. Happy thus far.

Es práctico y cuando funciona es muy bueno, lamentablemente a veces a la mitad de la carga se le "olvida" como seguir cargando y eso lo hace un poco idiota.

Almost all non Apple old MacBook charger clones are just bad. This is a much preferable route than buying an aftermarket charger. This way, I can use the best quality charger and keep the device safe. A busted MacBook Pro logic board due to power issues is a very very hard thing to fix. Go for it.

Lädt mein MacBook ohne Probleme. Auch das mit der LED funktioniert wie beim Original. ich bin zufrieden.
