Good product, but too bad they don't make an isolate version!
I have been through LOTS of protein powders and am always on the hunt for the next best thing (in terms of taste, ingredient profile, mixability and cost/benefit ratio). I recently tried this powder after going plant based for a while as I wanted the muscle building benefits of whey. My main criteria was to find a truly organic, grass fed source of whey, very limited additional ingredients and only stevia for sweetener. This seemed to fit the bill and had good reviews so I gave it a shot!In short, I liked it and can definitely recommend it for quality, value and mixability. The flavor was just ok for me, and I found it more palatable to add a little additional monkfruit. I'm not super picky about flavor though. I think the ingredient list is solid. The reason I will not continue to purchase is because I've decided that if I'm going to use whey protein powder, I want whey isolate vs whey concentrate (which is what this is). For those of you who don't know the difference, here's a simplified explanation. When whey is processed, it undergoes several steps to increase protein content while reducing carbs and fats. Generally speaking, whey concentrate consists of up to 80% protein by weight, with the remaining 20% as carbs/fats. Additional processing steps can be taken to increase the protein content to 90% or more and reducing fats and carbs even further. This is whey isolate. The amino acid profile of both are identical. Whey isolate will end up having less lactose than concentrate as well, which is a big deal for people who are intolerant or have sensitivities to dairy (like myself). Generally speaking, both are low enough in lactose for most people not to notice a difference in how they feel, but if you're super sensitive, isolate is the way to go.Due to the higher purity and more extensive processing, isolate is generally more expensive than concentrate.SO, if you're someone like me who tracks their macros down to the finest details, tries to eat as low carb as possible, is on a cut or is just more sensitive to lactose, then whey isolate is going to be what you want. While we're not talking huge numbers, I prefer to cut out a few additional carbs and fats out of my protein powder and add them in in my own controlled way with macadamia nut oil or avocado instead. If this company made a protein isolate version of this powder with their happy New Zealand cows, I would probably buy it! In the meantime, I have switched to NutraBio Grass Fed Whey Isolate and so far I'm really liking it! 100% protein, 1 carb, zero fat, no fillers, no lactose, less calories, more protein.I sincerely hope this review has been helpful to someone else! And yes, I paid full price for it. Feel free to ask any questions!

Formula changed!!
I've been using SFA Vanilla Protein powder for over 2 years now and just loved it. I would put a scoop in the blender with my coffee every morning and have a 'protein latte'. I just ordered this recent bag and was shocked when I took the first sip of my drink. It was terrible!!! I actually couldn't drink it. I was afraid it had been tampered with or something the taste was so different. I ended up comparing ingredients to the previous bag I still had at my house and it became clear that the ingredients changed. The new bag has Rebaudioside A where the previous bag had Stevia. I'm super disappointed about this as it is clear I need to find a new vanilla protein powder.

Tastes so bad it makes other proteins taste bad
I am a HUGE fan of cinnamon and churro flavored protein. I have purchased at least 4 other cinnamon/churro proteins in the past 6 months and they vary in flavor intesity but this brand is so very bad. I tried it alone and it tasted like someone put burnt match shavings in it. But it was so expensive compared to other protein powders (including brand named ones) that I figured it must be good quality. So I tried mixing it with other proteins and it even ruined the flavor when it was a 2:1 ratio of other protein:this brand. Stay away and get ANY other cinnamon protein on Amazon and I am SURE it will taste better.

Great protein powder but HORRIBLE customer service
UPDATED: This is still one of the best protein powder I've tried, but the customer service leaves something to be desired. I accidentally ordered the wrong flavor and reached out to S.F.H. for assistance. I never heard from anyone! I find it interesting that they have no problem sending me MULTIPLE emails telling me that they "work hard to bring me high quality products" and asking me to rate their "5-star experience," but can't respond to my request for assistance. There are lots of great protein powders out there and it may be time to find a new one!

Last bag Does not Dissolve
It's too bad that this last bag we bought is defective. No matter what we try it clumps together and will not dissolve. There are no Amazon returns so I'm not sure how to resolve this issue and replace with a new bag.The review for other bags-- My husband loves this protein powder and it's been part of his daily routine for the last 9 months helping him achieve muscle & his best weight by drinking 2 shakes daily. He's really seeing his daily CrossFit workouts enhanced and more lean muscle building. We've tried so many brands, but this is his All time favorite... chocolate first, then vanilla.
