Very good rub that isn't crazy high in sodium
So with what is going on with the global pandemic, instead of being at the BARE pool in Vegas on my birthday, my wife bought me a smoker. Been smoking everything under the sun and then some. Problem being is that most of the rubs out there are so high in sodium that although delicious, you wake up at 3am soaked in sweat downing water by the gallon. I am very excited to have found Maynards Miner's Mix. I have used it on St. louis style ribs and a small brisket flat yesterday and both turned out amazing. The flavor is fantastic and the sodium isn't through the roof. Headed to St. Louis next week and I will be bringing this rub with me.

No need to make your own spice rub!
As a chef it's always a pleasure to say you have made a homemade spice rub, seasoning or sauce. For my air fryer chicken rub, I had a homemade spice rub with about 6 spices with various amounts for each. Well, Miners Mix has them all! If you want a real balanced rub that covers the spectrum of tastes that can be use in a variety of meats and cooking styles, this rub is it! It is my this years stocking stuffer! It is really really good and a time saver for me.

Very Good Rub
I have combined it with another Memphis Rub. I get a little heat and a little sweet, but definitely I'm a fan. It is one of the best rubs that I have found and it's a good deal. I was able to eat at their restaurant in Memphis some years back and just had to have this to duplicate the experience. Works great on pork loin and chicken and grilled shrimp.

Miners Mix Maynards Memphis BBQ Seasing
A slightly sweet and spicy taste. The ingredients include brown sugar and white sugar. The spicy taste is mild, not too hot. I like the taste but feel there is something missing in the mix. I see there is no paprika, that might be what I'm missing. Easy enough to add to this mix to get it just right. I think paprika helps to darken the meat, which I like on ribs. The label indicates low sodium. I would say that it does not taste like it has a lot of salt in it. Overall I like the taste. I would recommend this rub more for Pork butt brisket, and chicken, less so for ribs but still good on anything.

Best dry rub for pork and beef ribs
I am not much good at reviews. But I had never tried dry spare ribs in the oven. I don't know what prompted me to dry Miner's Mix, but it was one of the best culinary decisions I have ever made. I slice off the back membrane first, then heavily sprinkle both sides of the ribs with the mix. Then at 350 degrees, I cook one side for 1 1/2 hours and the other side for 1 hour. I'll never go back. The ribs with Miner's were delicious. Very simple. Can't get enough.

I think this rub is great. All natural ingredients
I think this rub is great. All natural ingredients, and gives a great flavor to both pork and chicken. I usually put a light layer of olive oil on the meat, and then put on the rub. It gives great flavor whether cooked for awhile, such as a rotisserie chicken, or fairly fast like pork chops.I like to season the meat the night before or the morning I plan to cook it. Then let the rub infuse the meat for several hours in the fridge.Try it!

Something was missing !
I'm always open to something new so I bought this rub because of the reviews. I prepared 2 slab of SLC ribs a little oil for binding , 1 slab with Miners the other with my own mix. Then I hung both in my PBC for 4 hrs. No sauce for me. I liked the miners but I felt something was missing. Maybe some sweet or smoked paprika or a bit more salt. Its worth another try though. I would recommend

Great Memphis style rub
I was looking to experiment with a more Keto friendly rub and I think I found my go to rub Keto or not. I was worried that a lower carb rub would be lacking but my initial taste test from my palm had a good balance of sweet, tang, and spice. I covered a pork shoulder real good and smoked it with a mix of hickory and apple wood. The crust was perfect with lots of flavor. Not to salty and not too sweet.
