Brilliant!
Total novice using midi controllers/keyboards but I found the setup straightforward and painless. Simple enough for beginners right out the box but has almost limitless functionality for experienced users. Extremely well made, solid and knobs, pads and keys all have beautiful feel and action/sensitivity. Mini keys are ideal size for me to hack out chords/notes with my sausage fingers, I'm a guitarist so the size might not be to proper pianist/keyboard players taste. Bundled software is good but the grand piano package is a nightmare to install and really isnt worth the effort as it dosent sound any better than the Analoguelab ones. On that front kinda missed the boat as you only get the lite version which you could upgrade to full for about £30 with the previous model. The full package of presets will set you back the same as the controller about £100 with the discount if you tire of the 500 included. However you can purchase themed packs which you can audition for various prices upwards of £7. Integrated seamlessly with my DAW, studio one artist, but also comes with Abelton lite which I've not looked at yet. Would recommend to anyone in the market for such a device.

Value for the money, functionality, free software!
Cheapest one I've managed to get. I'm more than satisfied with. Works with Android phone and zenbeats app. I've used as a controller for the phone apps and it worked fine. Phone battery lasted for more than a 2,5 hours. Brilliant software included but it is quite complicated to install all software and plugins from the package and also it takes ages to fully install it. Little but important hint : Make sure you will choose exactly the same destination folders for plugins and software installed via Lab software center or otherwise it will cause massive problems and you might get mental 😉. Quality used materials for quite low price to pay. Keys feel surprisingly nice but a little bit too small and you have to be very careful which key you want to hit. In my opinion it's a little bit small for both hands. Love the amount of knobs and variety of assigning them. Pads feel quite sensitive and responsive. In general I love it because of the price, functionality, what you get with it. Quality and satisfaction in a entry level controller (btw it's my first controller in the beginning of discovering home music production).

Great with flaws
I got this hoping for an all in one solution..BUT & this is a big one.I got this "used" here so what the details of that are is up for debate. It was pretty much untouched visually no scratches nothing & it's all working just fine.My issues are subjective but I think VERY valid.Cons -- The hollow sound to this board every time you tap on it is horrid & LOUD.- key feel is varied- pots are all different.Pros -- form & function is amazing- over all build quality is great.- config software incredibleThis board is so hollow... I am a little heavy handed I will admit, but.. & this is a but.. to get a max velocity not you have to press fast & as such no matter the curve set to get a max veto note you have to tap it hard & fast.. this IS sooooo noisy that in my room with the speakers on a good low volume I have to turn the volume up to drown out the sound of the board!!!!!! WTF.. lol (if needed max velo notes or drum programming)Not every Key feels the same. some feel lighter than others. im not keyboardist. but if I were I would see that as a total loss.every one of the knobs is completely different. there are only 6 that I use because the others feel so bad.Lose ones.lose & wobbly ones.one that are a little to stiff but still smoother which are not an issue as they are still great to use. but when bundled with the others make the pots feel like they were from the spare parts bin..over all this is still really great & works brilliantly. but I personally like to have good feeling stuff to use. even its cheap its docent have to feel like it is.so if none of this matters to you & you need something to throw into a bag & have an all in one.. then go for it! its a great board.& many getting a brand new one will not have these issues as mine could well have been very abused..

Great MIDI board for iPad
Gorgeous looks, the right amount of knobs, solid build, lovely ribbon style pitch and mod controllers. Perfect for me for a more hands on feel of my iPad synths.

Akai MPK mini MK2-VS Arturia MiniLab MK2
I used AKAI MPK mini MK2 for a month. Then ordered Arturia MiniLab MK2.Arturia MiniLab MK2:- Overall build quality is 4 times better- Keys are harder to press and wider- Functions are almost the same- Control knobs are much better to twea, sturdier and grippier.Verdict: Akai feels like a cheap plastic toy in every way.Get yourself an Arturia MiniLab MKII, and ride the waves of joy, for many years to come.

Amazing
I am very happy with this purchase. The cost was just great for this midi controller which is amazing. Easy to use, to plug, with some apps to download and start making music. It has knobs and fuctions that may be for beginners will be a little challenging to use but nothing that can't be learned with practice.I recommend this product if you are looking for something small enough to plug to your computer, it has touch sensitivity on its keys which allows some sounds to be sustained or be modulated. I just love it

Best Bang for the Buck
The short version of this review is that I think this is built better and feels nicer than all of those. I have also owned a BeatStep. So in my experience, besides nice features, Arturia also has some of, if not the best build quality. For background I've owned an Akai MPK Mini Play, a Novation LaunchKey Mini Mk3, a Nektar SE25, a Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol M32, and a Korg nanoKey 2. Those were a while ago though, as I'm just getting back into music after a while away from it.It's heavier and larger than the MPK Mini and LaunchKey Mini, but it just feels more substantial, more robust. It's definitely portable, but it doesn't feel like the sort of controller you can just get out during a short break and mess around with, but now I just want a MicroLab for that.I think the LaunchKey's pads are a bit more responsive, although I no longer own it to compare directly, but that controller felt borderline flimsy to me. The LauncheKey also has 16 instead of 8, but you get two banks of pad assignments here and I don't miss the extra pads for my usage. The MPK Mini has bigger pads but they felt less responsive.Arturia gets great reviews for the quality of their keys and I can tell why now. Far more experienced players can describe exactly why better than I can, but to put it simply: they just feel nicer, less flimsy. The knobs are larger, and encoders unlike the potentiometers on the MPK and LaunchKey, so they're easier to use and while you have to watch the screen to see the parameter value, you won't end up with a parameter value not matching a knob if you switch instruments or presets. The two far left encoders are also push buttons for navigating menus, although the sensitivity out of the box seems too high when using these to scroll around menus, it's too easy to just skip around instead of smoothly going down the list. All of this said, there is still clearly value to the competition. The MPK comes with great software and the Play version has a built-in sound engine which is super handy. The LaunchKey does have more pads and is really built with Ableton in mind, and both are more portable than the MiniLab without sacrificing pads and knobs. So I'd still like to pick up another of each of those again, but for only having one controller at the moment, I'm very glad it's the MiniLab.

Basic midi keyboard with a good built quality
Basic midi keyboard with a good built quality. The size of the keyboard is portable. The only little downside is that the knobs are not “top-notch” and the sensitivity of the pads is a bit off.

Ottima
81€ in 5 rate già per questo merita le cinque stelle. Assieme all'iPad formano una coppia fantastica, non ho difetti da segnalare, va utilizzata per quello che è: un piccolo controller midi. I tasti rispondono discretamente, i controllisi mappano velocemente. Consigliato.Tempi e modi di consegna come sempre eccellenti.
