JJC USB Dual Battery Charger for OM SYSTEM OM-1II OM-1 OM-3 Camera & BLX-1 Lithium-ion Battery Replaces Olympus BCX-1 Lithium ion Battery Charger

I already have the Olympus official charger (expensive), but you cannot charge a cheaper third-party battery using that charger.This little charger works perfectly to charge two third-party batteries at a time and of course it also works with genuine BLX-1’s too.The charger has a short USB lead (16cm) which folds into the charger itself. You also receive a slightly longer female to male usb extension cable too (44cm) for a total of around 60cm. It charges my batteries in a couple of hours.I’m very happy with this charger, especially comparing the cost with the original. I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

This is a replacement for the Olympus device BCX-1 which is essentially a caddy to hold two BLX-1 batteries and charge from a USB charger. It plugs into the mains charger that is supplied for use in conjunction with the camera. The Olympus device retails for over £100 (UK) so this version is very competitive compared to the original.There is a short standard USB lead wired to the device and a lead to extend this is also supplied. A minor annoyance is that most new phone chargers, and indeed the unit supplied with the OM-1, have USB-C type sockets. I have ordered ann adapter to enable use with a USB-C socket for £2. In the meantime while waiting for the adapter I have been using a charger for a Samsung tablet which has a standard USB socket.There are two red LEDs on the top of the device which flash separately for each battery being charged to indicate 25/50/75% charge level. When fully charged the relevant LED remains on but stops flashing. I tested it with one and then two batteries. A battery that shows as charged in the device shows 100% in the camera.I also have a rechargeable power bank intended for phones and it works with that too, which makes it useful when away from home.Charging rate depends on the source - expect around 2-1/2 hours for a full charge.I knocked off a star because a USB-C lead would better match the Olympus version. Easily rectified though and I still recommend it.

I received the charger promptly, no issues.Attached the charger, to a fast mains charger, with its inbuilt usb cable and extension, inserted a 99% charged battery and 30mins later it finally charged 100%. Earlier tried charging a 30% charged battery, it did its two flashes per second and an hour later still only flashing 3/s, which means 75% + charge.On the positive side it is small and compact, it works and can charge 2 batteries. Easy to carry around.Just leave yourselves a few hours when charging from low charge.

Received this on time and it charges my many Olympus OM1 batteries as it should

Good value for price paid. Can’t say more as I have used once.

Great Product & Service

It arrived promptly and looks to be well made . I've only used it once so far to charge one BLX-1 battery which it did in reasonable time. When I can get another battery I'll try out it's dual charging capabilities .I like the visual charging display and the fact that it can be used with any USB equipped mains charging unit plus also from a laptop or power bank.

Funziona ma, l'indicatore di carica con lampeggio led è poco intuitivo nella lettura dello stato e il cavo lo trovo demenziale, è fisso, con adattatore maschio/femmina, poco pratico, a parte questo fa quello che deve.
