The umbrella is a good size. The handle fits nicely into my hand and is comfortable to hold, it feels surprisingly sturdy and solid, opens and closes smoothly, and has a good size.Very sturdy and compact. Heavy to put into a purse/bag. I leave it in the car for emergencies.
