Bill Buchman 'Zen' Bamboo Dip Pen - Bold 5mm Point

I was looking for a reed pen for use with watercolors and inks but WOWZER! These are big suckers! I am wondering how I'm supposed to use something so large... road signs? Still, they were properly shipped and in perfect condition with a nice vinyl pouch for storage.

The black paint is cracking and peeling off. I haven't even used them yet because they arrived right before I left on a trip. Not sure if I should peel it all off - the finish is very rough where it is part paint and part wood.

Good pen. Far better than those double ended pens sold by most art stores. Finish is pretty sloppy though.

If you like to do sumi-e, this is a must-have tool. Nice inkwell holds plenty for some wonderful thicker and thinner lines. I like this tool, it is also nice to hold as it is large.

Broke after few submersions in water... looks nice but does not function in my setting...

The product has arrived defective. Immediately an Amazon guided me on a return of the product and I already received the refund on my credit card. I'm buying the Bill Buchman's bamboo pen again.

Cracked within a week of arrival.

I love the pen but I don't see much difference between the different sized pens. I should have gotten just one pen.
